It is based on the university you are applying for and the course are opting for. Most of the universit scholarships are based on GRE score rather than IELTS score. If at all they provide scholarship through IELTS your bands should be above 7 or equal to 7

• Find an English newspaper and start reading daily and also learn a word a day

Dear Geenu, Most Universities have 2 intakes everybyear for all classes and courses. Fall semester begins in September and ends in December and Spring semester begins in January and ends in May.
