Hello sir/mam i have completed my 12 this year nd got 77.6% . I want to study abroad nd go for scholarship . i want to know how i can get it

chandresh iyer 20th Aug, 2024

Congratulations on completing your 12th grade with a 77.6% score! If you're aspiring to study abroad and secure a scholarship, there are several steps you can take. Start by researching universities and programs that align with your academic interests and offer scholarships for international students. Make sure to prepare for standardized tests like the SAT, ACT, or IELTS/TOEFL, as they are often required for admission and scholarship applications. Additionally, work on building a strong application by highlighting your achievements, extracurricular activities, and any relevant experience. Many scholarships consider not only academic performance but also leadership qualities, community involvement, and financial need.

DID ANY COACHING CLASSES TO GET GOOD SCORE IN IELTS EXAM

Rohit Roy 10th Oct, 2018
Hi Aspirant,

Actually, preparation for any exam depends on person to person. Starting with the IELTS preparation, give an hour to each module. Practice each and every module in the given time frame. Look out for your mistakes and try not to repeat them, even if you have to listen to that recording once more or you have to read that passage again. Just try not to repeat them. Always try to do the test in the given time limit. Once 60 minutes are over, stop your Reading section and check your answers. After scoring yourself, then solve the remaining questions. Hope you get my point. Same goes with the Listening section.

Take a full Speaking exam and record your voice for the first few days. After completing with the exam, listen to your recording. Judge and score it. You should not be repeating words and saying hmmm, mmm and these types of voices. If you think, your voice is not coming out proper and clear, read aloud something in English EVERYDAY for 30 minutes till your day of exam. This will really help you.

Coming to Writing, it comes with practice. Learn some words, phrases and idioms everyday and try to use them in your writing. Read some good quality articles from magazines, newspapers everyday. Find someone who will be ready to score your writing tasks everyday.

If after doing the full practice tests for few days, you think Im weak in a particular section, double the time for that particular section and try to improve in that.

On the coaching part,it gives you a proper direction. However,if you stay focused and do proper self study,it isn't needed.

Hope this helps.

If i have a high ielts score will i get more job oppurtunites as per my qualification?

Shraya Singh 15th Nov, 2018

Hello,

The IELTS exam score plays no role in determining whether you are eligible to work in an English-speaking environment. Therefore, a high IELTS score wont give you access to more job opportunities.

Instead, with a good IELTS score, you may be eligible to apply for visas abroad in order to avail opportunities in foreign job markets. The IELTS score can also be used to apply for permanent residencies in other countries.

Also, a high IELTS score may enable you a passage into IELTS preparation and teaching, but otherwise doesn't add to your professional qualifications.

I take IELTS exam i got overall band of 5 is it good score or not

Nitheesh Yennampelly Student Expert 7th Oct, 2018

Hey Naga,

It is completely depended on the purpose for what  you are taking the exam.

If you are going for higher education then 6 or 6.5 band score with a minimum score of 6 in each module is considered as good

If you are going for PR or immigraion or any job then 7 band score in each module is compulsory.

In case of a doctor is opting to work as a locum then 7.5 band with a minimum 7 in each module is a good score.

and the overall band 5 is not at all good, as you can see All the above details.

All the best

I want pursue MBA from USA however i am preparing for GMAT and IELTS, is this possible to try for January intake?

Mrudul Vasant Naik 5th Oct, 2018

Hi Vishal,

The deadlines for spring intake are usually between January and May, so keep a tab of the important dates of the universities you are aspiring for.

The Global MBA criteria include

  • GMAT
  • TOEFL or IELTS
  • Work experience > 24 to 36 months

The usual preparation time for GMAT requires usually around 3 months so with proper practice you can take up your GMAT as well as IELTS and apply for Spring intake as soon as possible.

Be sure to take up a few mocks.
