Do we get scholarship from IELTS examination score?

ruchika.chauhan Expert 13th Nov, 2018

Hello Krishna
IELTS is the exam which is conducted to evaluate a candidate’s proficiency level in the English language. Candidates can not get scholarship only on the basis of IELTS scores. However, If you have very good IELTS score then you might use it with academic record to avail a scholarship.
Criteria vary from University to University. You will have to check the procedure of particular Universities.
Good Luck!

Dear Sir/Madam, Can I get into top Canadian or European Universities with a decent score in IELTS,without GRE?

Shraya Singh 13th Nov, 2018

Hello,

The admission requirements often vary with the program and/or university of application. For most  masters programs in the area of science and technology or where quantitative ability is a requirement, a GRE score is always a requirement.

Additionally, highly language-oriented courses also require a good GRE General test score especially in verbal analysis.

Depsite this, there are many programs which candidates can apply for which do not require a GRE score apart from the areas of study mentioned above.

Regarding IELTS scores, the top universities usually require a score of 7.0 whereas some good European universities also accept scores of 6.0 or 6.5. It is very rare that a score of under 6.0 is accepted in most good universities.

Please share your prospective program of application so that I can provide further details regarding your query.

Bro what is the minimum marks to get in IELTS exam.how to score them.can we prepare for that exam in 1 month.

Shraya Singh 13th Nov, 2018

Hello,

The IELTS exam is scored on a 0-9 point scale with the total score being the sum of all individual sectional scores for reading, writing, speaking and listening.

There is no universal minimum score and instead, each university has its own individual IELTS score requirements for students seeking admission.

Usually, for the top universities this is around 7.0 or 7.5. For others it may be 6.5. In very rare cases, the minimum IELTS score requirement is under 6.0.

Preparation for IELTS depends upon your present English language proficiency. Generally, if you have a good level of English language proficiency, preparation can be completed in 1 month or even less. On the other hand, other students may take 2-3 months in order to prepare for the exam.

i gave ielts test before 2 years and igot 5 band between two weeks if iwill take PTE coaching classes after months how much band ican got

Siju Mathai 26th Sep, 2018

IELTS and PTE both are used for testing our proficency in English.IELTS is international relevance and it acceptable all over the world. But PTE is not acceptable it has certain limitation in ceryace countries.PTE is mainly good for Australia.

While considering the difficulties I think PTE is much more simpler than IELTS since PTE is computer based examination while IELTS is human based and also people are getting better score in PTE.

But the main factor we have to consider is our language proficiency. If our language is good then we don't have to worry about These two exams.

Good luck
