Now I am in 3rd semester (graduation). Could you please tell me when should I take the exam IELTS to get admission in post graduate in 2020?

Azim Musa Shaikh 30th Jun, 2018
But IELTS for Abroad.
IELTS, the International English Language Testing System, is designed to assess the language ability of candidates who need to study or work where English is used as the language of communication. IELTS is required for entry to university in the UK and other countries.
If u want to enrol for IELTS.
U had to visit online website.
Check the availability and select your test date (you will need to select a separate test date for your speaking test).
Create an account with the British Council.
Book and pay.
If you are under 18, you will need your parent or guardian to book the test for you.
Please note:
To continue with this booking you will need:
An identification document of the test taker. Make sure you have a photocopy or a photo of the identification document at hand, as you will need to upload this as part of the booking process.
A payment card (if you wish to pay online)

There are 3 different IELTS tests you can book with the British Council.

Thanks,
Azim

How long does it take to prepare for the IELTS?

nishant sharma 26th Jun, 2018

dear student,

I advice that students take at least 1–1.5 month preparing for the IELTS exam, focusing on basic grammar, reading speed, test strategies and writing skills. Each part of the IELTS exam is different, so ensure you fully understand what is expected of you.

After scoring best scores in IELTS will IELTS organization take all the expenses of mine or I have to spend money?

Aeshwarya Tiwari 25th Jun, 2018

Hi Apoorva,

IELTS is an English language exam which tests your English at international level. There are no such criteria that if you have scored well and IELTS will pay your expenses. So you have to spend your own money but there are few scholarships offered by British council may be this is helpful for you. (https://www.britishcouncil.in/study-uk/scholarships). You can also check the following link for more scholarships for studying abroad. Hope this works for you.

anirudha vats 19th Mar, 2021

Hi,

Well the Study material that you have received is for practice purpose and the pattern of the real exam is going to be the same as the practice tests in the material given to you. The questions will obviously be different and you need to use it as a referral for preparing for the main exam.

Hope that helps.

Thank you

I want to apply for MS in computer science.Which exam should I give IELTS,TOEFEL or GRE.

sahanahegde44 16th Dec, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

Hope your doing good!

Students planning to pursue an MS degree in the US have to display their English proficiency by sitting for the IELTS exam which evaluates the following skills-

IELTS Listening

IELTS Writing

IELTS Speaking and,

IELTS Reading

Almost the majority of the universities or graduate schools accept IELTS scores from the applicants and more than 3 million test-takers applied for the IELTS test to get admission to different institutions in the US.

Most of the universities accept 5.5 IELTS in the USA and in case the IELTS score is less than 5.5, then you must consider taking the IELTS Test again. While targeting an average university in the US Universities, the candidates’ IELTS score must be at least 6.5 or higher than that.

On a safer side, A score of 7 in IELTS is a good score acceptable by some of the well known colleges in the US.

For more details, Do refer to the link mentioned below, It will give you step by step procedures about the exam and colleges!
