Yes everything is right as long s you are convinced about your choice. Do not be in doubt now. IT branch has much scope and would surely fetch you a good job from Hbtu Kanpur. Moreover, you would now have the choice to discern what you want to do after your B.tech and not compulsorily do MBA. You can choose between private/govt jobs or M.tech or MS abroad or PHD accory to your inclination then.

Between HBTU KANPUR and new IIIT, i would recommend you to join HBTU KANPUR. The resons are the college is having a good alumni base, its recognized college all over the country, Well recognized companies visit for the placement. But new IIIT is still good colleges but still a long way to have a record so still some of the IIIT's first batch is waiting for the placements. IIIT's are the central government college and its placement is good (for some IIIT's) than HBTU Kanpur IT branch. HBTU is state government college and very old college. Its infrastructure and facility is not so good like central government but faculties are the best. But still, IIIT is having a brand name which sometimes matters a lot.

Both the colleges fall under well known college category and are good in their own aspects.But if we are about to compare both these colleges then IIIT KANCHIPURAM is better than NIT SRINAGAR and also IT department is better in this college as per the faculties,students review and placements,

The placement percentage for IT department is very good in this college.

A back during b.tech is not likely to affect your placements at the M.tech level and that too at such reputed institutions like the IITs, NITs etc. You should have got a good GATE score to have got admission into these colleges for M.tech which outweighs your back factor. Do well in your M.tech, do projects and you would hopefully be placed.

The seat that you have been alloted in the second special round of CSAB is your final seat and your earlier alloted seat has been cancelled. You can report for admission in only your currently alloted institute and admission to any other participating institute will not be possible. Therefore, you will have to go to IIIT nagpur. Definately IIT Guhawati is best for CSE since it is a govt college, you get that IIT tag it is booming up and will come up to the level of NIT Allahbad in coming years and the faculty is from top IITs and NITs.
