Like IIIT Assam has the closing rank of 32112 and the closing rank for IIIT Sonepat was 31372.

That's why you are not likely to get a seat

It is difficult to get seat in NITs and IIITs with 89 percentile. You have a chance of getting new IIITs but you won't be getting good branch like CSE/ECE/IT. Since, this branches has a lot of competition.

As per your score in jee mains 2019 it is difficult to get NIT, IIIT or GIFT. Generally in order to get any of NIT or IIIT with any branch the minimum percentile required is 97 for general, 94 for obc and 92 for sc or st category
