With this rank you should be able to get a seat in a NIT or IIIT although you might not be able to get a good branch in the top NITs and IIITs. Although you can try in the other NITs where you might have a better chance of getting a good branch as per your rank. Hope this helps.

IIIT Bhopal would be a better option.

IIIT-Bhopal: First of all it is very important to notice that it's an institute of National level importance. So at least it is far better than any state private or government college. As there are only two batches now it's quite tough to make a college environment like clubs/societies, but still, we are on it and within a semester the college will have all the activities like any other national college. In academic point of view we share faculties of MANIT BHOPAL (because it is our mentor institute) some contract faculties are also there only for us but they are not as far as those of NIT Bhopal. We are allowed to participate in each and every fest/club activities/competitions/seminars of MANIT. So in this way you can consider that we are part of NIT. Hostel facilities as observed and noticed are not good enough. Not only its too far but there are daily general problems also this is the reason 60–70 % of the students are day scholars, and even if you stay in hostels after the first year you have to leave your rooms and find our own accommodations. So overall I can say it's a developing Institute so we can't judge it now anyways but my personal experience till now is good.

The new campus will most probably be available for the new batch.The new campus is in a 50 acres area, with much better infrastructure than the present campus.

2019 is the first year when IIIT Kottayam saw its first placement. Institute had good companies coming forward to recruit them. Some of them where NISSAN, L&T, Reliance(JIO) and many more startups. Good companies like NISSAN offered package starting from 6 Lakh to 10 Lakh.Which is brilliant when seeing the first placement year of Institute. Whereas other new iiits did not saw this type of offers in their first year. So comparing the current scenario one can expect that the placement to be as good as old nits in coming 2–3 years. It is a well deserving institute for candidates securing rank between 5000 to 15000. Coding culture is as per with old iiits like IIIT Allahabad, Gwalior and good nits. More than 70% students clearing starting round of CODE JAM conducted by GOOGLE. Most important point is that no other new iiits have got their permanent campus except few. But IIIT Kottayam have got its campus from 2018–2019 session, again beating other.

With this rank it will be very diffcult for you to get admission in any of the NITs or IIITs and even in the newer ones you will not be able to get any of the good branches. Although you can try for admission in GFTIs as there you might have a better chance of getting a good branch. You can use the careers 360 college predictor to know about further details

IIIT Lucknow established in 2k15 and is independently working from Iiit Allahabad for last 2 years, it has its own facilities, faculties. And it has its own placement cell means companies separately come to iiit Lucknow for placements. And the 1st batch of b. Tech has got 28 lakhs as highest package salary per annum in 2k19. It's facilities has increased exponentially. Overall it's a good choice.

It's very difficult for you to get a seat in any of the nit/iiit/gfti, because your rank is too low to fetch you any seat, but still for the special round you can try for some north eastern nits like nit arunachal Pradesh, nit tripura, nit Sikkim, nit meghalaya, nit manipur or nit Srinagar as their general cutoffs are low. 

Or you can take a drop and prepare again for jee.
