It depends upon the JEE Main and JEE Advance cut offs, If You manage to qualify the exam by achieving the cut off, You can apply for JOSAA Counselling. It should be noted the cut off for EWS/SC/ST/FEMALES/OBC category is lower than the general category

Hey! Hi.
NO.
You won't get any NIT, IIIT or GFTI through the JoSAA Counselling rounds but you may have a chance in the last special CSAB ROUND but it is quiet unpredictable.

IIT - total (10,096) for open category(4944)

NIT - total (17,390) for open category(8,548)

Hey Khalandar,

It totally depends on your category,if you are of general category then your chances are poor but you can try. Then,again if you are of other categories then you stand a chance to get into the newer IIIT's and also NIT's if you may. Hope for the best.

The closing rank of 2017 admission in IIIT Lucknow for IT is 10302 for OBC. So, you might get admission there. You can check the cutoffs here.

Not only it depends on The Rank you secured but also there is a huge weightage for Percentage you got in Class 12th.
I hope you are now getting the point.
So you must be having a Good percentage in 12th also.
