The Lok Sabha internship is providing a platform for the Indian youth to work for the greatest democracy in the world. This internship is for Indian citizens only and is for a period of one to eleven months. The interns will be paid Rs.25,000 per month during the internship period. Those candidates who are selected for the internship will be engaged at the Parliamentary Research and Training Institute for Democracies (PRIDE). The internship is open for graduates and postgraduates between 18 and 25 years of age. However, candidates who are pursuing professional courses and have passed the first year of their 4 or 5 years professional course can also apply.
Interested candidates are required to submit their applications in the prescribed format on or before 25th June 2021. They are required to submit a Statement of Purpose as well. Selected candidates will be intimated via email.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in research, counselling, management, marketing, computers and related fields. Gaining proficiency in computer applications, learning languages, having published certain articles will all add up to boosting your chances of getting selected for the internship.

See as you are mechanical engineer, it can be tough for you to get internship online for your field i.e., Mechanical Engineering. But you can take other internships such as Content writing, Subject Matter Expert, Coding (Python, C++ etc), if you know web development then also you have good options available etc. Thus you can do internship but for a ME related internship you have to find hard as ME is a field where on sight internships are more available. You can search Internshala and such platforms for Internships and I am sure you will get any as per your interest.

One year rotatory internship is compulsory. Any candidate cannot apply for the PG examination without one year internship.
You are not eligible to apply for the exam. I would suggest you to apply next time. There's nothing bad about it. Its actually according to the procedure and guidelines of the exam.
Plus you get some ore time to prepare. You it efficiently.

Yes, in most of the colleges the students go for internship programs in various other colleges and companies if they are selected for their internship program.
The college generally provides a letter of recommendation and a approval letter to confirm that the student from his college is being allowed for educational internship at any other college or company once the candidate gets selected.

After completing 4 years of studies, there is a compulsory 1 year of internship. This internship is given for almost of 1month in every department. If a student wants to complete his/her internship from a different college, they can definitely do it. For this, after your final year you need to apply in the desired college for the internship with no subject pending to finish. After this, you are eligible to do internship. No, there's no such rule. 1 year of internship is an integral part of mbbs without which it is incomplete as mbbs is a 5.5 year course in which you study for 4.5 year and then do 1 year of internship.
So, irrespective of your age it is mandatory to complete your internship in order to be eligible for PG

To be eligible for Neet PG you need to fulfill the given below criteria :-
-) educational qualification requirement :- to be eligible one must possess an MBBS degree recognised by Medical Council of India
-) it is also mandatory to have MBBS qualification registration either permanent or provisional issued by MCI or State Medical Council i. e SMC
-) the aspirant should complete the one year internship by 31st March of the year in which attempting Neet PG i.e by 31st March 2021 in case of neet pg 2021
