Hello sir, I am registering for gate 2026. During registration it ask for first, middle and last name and based on them generate full name. I follow this it generate Vikash Rameshbhai Bhagel but in my id card written Bhagel Vikash Rameshbhai where surname is first, it may acceptable or not.

Abhilasha Agrawal 13th Sep, 2025

Yes, it will be acceptable. In GATE registration, the name should match your valid photo ID proof in terms of spelling, not the order. Many Indian IDs have surname written first, while the portal generates it as first–middle–last. Since all three parts of your name (Vikash, Rameshbhai, Bhagel) are correct, there won’t be any issue. Just ensure you upload the correct ID proof. During verification, they check spelling, photo, and signature, not the word order.

i ha e alr3ady made the payment for cat form and i shows payment status as S, do i need to make another payment as it shows payment unsuccessful in cat form

SHUBHRADIP ROY 12th Sep, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

Since your payment status shows "S" , it means your payment is successful. The "payment unsuccessful" message on the form is likely a temporary system error or a delay in updating.

Do not make another payment.

Making a second payment could cause a double debit, which is difficult to get a refund for. You should:

  1. Wait 24-48 hours for the status to update automatically.

  2. Download and save a copy of your form and a screenshot of the "S" payment status as proof.

  3. Check your bank statement to confirm the money has been debited.

  4. If the issue is not fixed after 48 hours, contact the official CAT helpdesk immediately with your transaction details.

My keam pharmacy rank is 22270 is it any chance to get jamia salafiyaa pharmacy college pulikkal in third allotment

SHUBHRADIP ROY 12th Sep, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

Based on previous years' KEAM allotment data, getting a seat at Jamia Salafiya Pharmacy College with a rank of 22270 in the third allotment is unlikely .

The college's cutoff ranks in past years for the final allotment rounds have generally been much lower than your rank. It's advisable to look at other colleges where your rank might be competitive.

The obc caste certificate is from central government but it just says i am ordinary resident of Rajasthan is it valid for jee councelling ? But my state of eligibility is karnataka and certificate says i am ordinary resident of Rajasthan is it valid for jee

Shivani Chaurasia 14th Sep, 2025

Hii nikhil!

No, if you are applying for counselling as per the Karnataka eligibility then your category certificate must mention that you are an ordinary resident of Karnataka not Rajasthan. This will be contradictory since you are getting eligibility through Karnataka but as per category certificate you are resident of Rajasthan.

You can submit another central category certificate which will have Karnataka as your residential place. You can ask the issuing authority to speed up the procedure. In the worst case if you were not able to get category certificate within the deadline you can apply through general category.

Hope it worked for you!

My caste is not recognised in Karnataka but i have obc ncl certificate which i made from rajasthan (native place)and it is of the same format as required for jee. Is this certificate valid for jee councelling?

Anshika Gupta 11th Sep, 2025

No, your Rajasthan-issued OBC NCL certificate may not be valid for JEE counselling. For JEE, you need a central OBC NCL certificate, not a state one. While you're from Rajasthan, the caste must be listed on the central government's updated list of OBCs to be eligible for the reservation benefits. You should obtain a central OBC NCL certificate, that should be issued on or after April 1, 2024, and make sure it follows the specified format.

Where would I get cleared and perfect answer regarding the bridge course of maths for pcb student provided by the university and it is safe or not

Ankur Mehta 13th Sep, 2025

Hey! Bridge course in Mathematics for PCB students is valid if the university is recognized by UGC/AICTE. Many universities provide this option so that students without Maths in 12th can still pursue courses like B.Tech or other subjects that require Mathematics. The degree will be considered valid as long as the college/university is properly approved.

But keep in mind that you will have to put in extra effort because engineering and related subjects need strong maths. For exact and clear details, it’s always best to check the official website of the university, their admission prospectus, or contact the admission cell directly. You can also read experiences of previous students on platforms like Careers360 or Quora to get clarity.
