i have an obc ncl certificate in the central format which is stated as the required document for admission in iits from uceed. will i further need a caste validity for it? does that exist? [note : i am not talking about the yearly renewal of it that i know]

Shankha Ghosh 27th Feb, 2026

Hi Hrishikesh,

In your case, you do not need a separate or additional category validity ceriticate for IITs. Caste validiity certificate only exists for students from Maharashtra. The central format is sufficient for IIT admission.

can i submit a liue in declaration of central obc caste certificate and upload it later when they ask it for verification

hii.....my mumma has done Bachelors in fine arts in 2016 and now she wants to pursue masters in fine arts.....so my question is......can she do her masters now? can she do it through distant learning? she is in her 40s right now.....

Shamshad Ali Dar 27th Feb, 2026

There is no upper age limit for masters programmes. Your mom can apply for Masters in Fine Arts. Some universities require gap affidavit before applying for the admission. Most of the universities allow students without any restrictions.
