I have doubt that in only theory marks I have less than 60%in maths, but in both theory and practical I have greater than 60%in maths,so can I will be eligible for admission in jac delhi colleges (DTU,NSUT,IGDTUW)?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 25th Jul, 2022

Hi

  • First of all, your theory + practical marks is considered and not only theory marks.
  • Secondly, you need 60 % in aggregate of PCM and not individually in each of them to be eligible for NSUT, IGDTUW and DTU

For your reference,

JAC Delhi eligibility criteria is different for different colleges :-

>>>> For B.Tech in NSUT, IGDTUW and DTU

  • To be eligible one must pass his or her class 12th board examination with physics chemistry mathematics and English and must have got at least 60% in aggregate of physics chemistry and mathematics

So, if you have 60 % in aggregate of PCM then yes you are definitely eligible for NSUT, IGDTUW and DTU

>>>> For B.Tech in IIIT-D

  • to be eligible you must get at least 80% marks in the aggregate of best 5 including physics chemistry and maths. You must also have got at least 80% or more p mathematics

>>>> B.Arch in IGDTUW

  • to be eligible you must have got at least 50% marks  in overall in your class 12th board examination and also you must have got at least 50% marks in aggregate of physics chemistry and mathematics

In jac Delhi counselling,

Seats are alloted on the basis of jee main crl rank.

  • 85% seats are reserved for Delhi region  students.

  • while the rest  15% seats are available for outside Delhi students

I have doubt, I want to pursue computer science engineering from jac delhi colleges (DTU,NSUT,IGDTUW),but I have taken Hindi Core instead of computer science as a subject in 12th, so can I will be eligible for CSE branch in jac delhi colleges?

Yash 24th Jul, 2022

Hi,

For admission in BTech courses in JAC Delhi colleges you must have to match these eligibility criteria.

1. Candidates need to have a 10+2 passing certificate conducted by CBSE or any equivalent exam

2. For the B. Tech course at DTU, IGDTUW, and NSUT a candidate needs to obtain 60% marks or more marks in an aggregate of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. Also, the candidates should have English as a subject of study in their qualifying examination. Moreover, the candidate should have JEE Main 2021 Rank (Paper – 1), then only he/she will be eligible for admission. Also, it is compulsory that he/she has passed in each subject separately.

If you have doubts you can ask them in comments or ask a separate question.

Hope this will help you !

I have doubt that is there any minimum marks required for English Core to be eligible for admission in jac delhi colleges (DTU,NSUT,IGDTUW),I have scored 74 out of 100 in English Core(55 in theory and 19 in practical),so can I will be eligible for admission in jac delhi colleges in 2023?

Hello,

To get admission to B.Tech in DTU, NSUT and IGDTUW you must appear for JEE Main paper 1. The eligibility criteria to get admission to B.Tech in DTU, NSUT, IGDTUW is that you must have passed 10+2 with English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from a recognized board. You must have scored minimum 60% marks or more marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics taken together.

To apply for admission to B.Tech in IIIT, Delhi a candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent and scored minimum 80% or more marks in the aggregate of the best of five subjects including Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and also, 80% or more in Mathematics in the qualifying examination.

To apply for admission to B.Arch in IGDTUW a candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent and must have scored minimum 50% or more marks in aggregate and has passed mathematics as a subject.

Considering the above mentioned criteria you just have to pass in English subject in the qualifying examination there is no minimum percentage required in English subject.

I have completed 12th in 2022,and aiming for jee mains 2023 to get admission under Jac delhi colleges (DTU,NSUT,IGDTUW)I want to pursue computer science engineering but I have taken hindi core instead of computer science as a subject in 12th so can I eligible for CSE branch in colleges in Jac delhi?

Sevit Kar 18th Jul, 2022

Hello,

It doesn't matter whether you have taken Hindi or Computer Science . But you need to have Mathematics , Physics, Chemistry as compulsory subjects in your Std. 12.

You have completed your 12th in the year 2022 and you are aiming to give jee mains in 2023 but i would recommend you to give jee mains in the year 2022 itself because an attempt should not be wasted without even trying this.

So, to get these colleges under jac counselling , you should be able to score atleast 98.5-99 percentile to get cse or any non core branch here.

I have completed 12th in 2022,and aiming for jee mains 2023 for admission in colleges under Jac delhi (DTU,NSUT,IGDTUW),I want to pursue computer science engineering but in 12th I have hindi core as a subject instead of computer science so can I will be eligible for admission under CSE branch?

Pro Gaming 15th Jul, 2022

Hello,

Yes, you will be eligible to get any branch if you cleared the cutoff. If you want to pursue engineering with computer science branch then It is not compulsory to have computer subject in your class 12th, if you had Hindi subject then still you are eligible to get CSE in any of the colleges by clearing the entrance exam with a good percentile and rank.

Hope it helps, all the best.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 7th Jul, 2022

As per your mentioned query yes, you are eligible to persue computer science and engineering without having computer as a subject in your 10+2.

Candidates who wish to choose their career in the field of computer engineering need to appear for this exam. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to these courses is a pass in 10+2 or equivalent exam with 45 per cent marks in Physics , Mathematics  and Chemistry .
