As you have got 17k gmr and your category rank is 1.3k.  So let me tell you even if I consider your category there is no chance that you can grab a seat in Jadavpur University in any branch.

The cut offs for Jadavpur is too high. It is the top most college available through wbjee. On the other hand if you are not from West Bengal then it is more difficult to get the college. Although that won't help you.much regardless of from where are you.

So, I would suggest to go for colleges technoindia Salt Lake, haldia institute of technology, technoindia university, future institute of technology and other parallel colleges.

It is very difficult to predict the college because you do not mention your state region. All the seats of WBJEE are allotted on the basis of GMR rank. And your general rank is 5743 and also your belonging to SC category. So you have SC category quota. There is chance to get admission in this university for BE Information Technology. According to the previous year, the closing rank of BE Information Technology for home state is 5005.

Yes there is a chance but you may not get Pharmacy in the first counseling ,but there are chances in the second or third counselling if seats remain vacant after the first counselling. If your GMR is within 4000, you can try for Food Technology and Biochemical Engineering or Printing Technology or Engineering also. So stay patient and look forward to the counselling rounds.

Getting admission in Jadavpur University is somewhat difficult but you should never lose hope.
