       Yes, you can apply for Btech in Computer science and engineering at Jain University. But, the better option would be appearing for the entrance examination conducted by Jain University officially. So, when you clear this exam, you will be given an all india rank, then based on that you will be called for counselling and you will be allocated a seat in which ever branch you have been qualified for.

    So, you will have a bit upper hand when entered through this entrance examination. Generally, what engineering colleges do is they first allocate the seats for the students who appear through counselling and remaining seats will be given based on 12th percentage.

The cutoff of computer branch in Jain University varies every year. As per 2020, cutoff rank for round 1 was 15,809 and for round 2 was 22,832. As per 2019, the cutoff ranks was 56,667. And the cutoff rank in 2018 was 56,980. The cutoff ranks varies depending on difficulty of questions and number of candidates appearing for exam.

Jain University claims to be the best university in Bangalore. It has recently won some awards and recognition. Jain University has been Awarded ISO certification by TUV Rheinland. It is associated with the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP).  According to the reviews of some students that I found on social media and some websites, That placements are good. You can for sure go for it.

Jain University, School Of Engineering and technology is a deemed to-be university on the outskirts of Bangalore. They have fees structure on the higher side.

The Department of Computer Science Engineering (CSE) conducts Guest Lectures, Technical Seminars, Webinars, Workshops and Conferences at National level on the latest emerging topics. Faculty are pretty cooperative and guide students like they should be guided. There are several organizations like Infosys, AMD, Spaneous, etc that has MoUs with. 

Overall, it is a good university with high fee structure but with such high fee, a better options are available.

Accodingly, You should prefer going in deshbandhu college of delhi university because it is one of the top science colleges providing best faculty profiles along with good environment for studies and academics. Placement records are so uotp the mark so go for it. Make your decision wisely. Jain university is also a well known university providing nice placement records and academic profile. • Jain University also offers B.Tech in Lateral Entry mode for Diploma holders.
• Admission to all the courses is granted through Jain Entrance Test (JET). The pattern of the entrance is different for different programs.
