how many seat for mbbs Jammu and Kashmir for ST category

iammohdshareef 5th Sep, 2020

Jammu and Kashmir has 900 MBBS seats altogether and it doesn't participate in All India Counselling and so all the 900 seats are filled through State Counselling only. ST Category has 6% reservation. This means approximately 54 seats are reserved for ST Category Candidates in Jammu and Kashmir NEET Counselling. The other reservation quotas are:

Open Merit: 50%

SC: 8%

Gujjar and Bakarwals: 2%

Residents of Leh: 2%

Residents of Kargil: 2%

Weak and Under Priviliged classes: 2%

RBA: 20%

Wards of Defense personnel: 3%

ALC: 20%

Children of Paramilitary forces and State Police Personnel: 1%

Sports Quota 2%.

There are 10 seats in ASCOM for Poor and Backward sections. Read our article for more information: https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/j-k-mbbs-admission

Shoaib Akhtar 15th Oct, 2020

Hello there

It would be really hard for you to take admissions in du at this percentile .This year cutoffs also increased slightly .You should checkout the precious years cutoff to know more about what courses you can get .Since you are from kashmir ,if you have documents then you can avval for kashmiri migrant reservations which might help you a bit .

can i get admission to any aiims college ,if i am falling in their cutt off range in neet 2020 and i am from jammu and kashmir. pls hive details regarding this

iammohdshareef 11th Oct, 2020

I doubt if you can apply for All India Counselling if you are from Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir this year also is going for 100% State Counselling and AIIMS will fill its seat through All India Counselling. Unless you give a self declaration form that you do not have Jammu and Kashmir State Eligibility Quota, you cannot participate in All India Counselling. And giving a self declaration form is closing the doors for admission in Medical Colleges of Jammu and Kashmir. And so you need to think about it. my jee mains sc category rank is 20190 can I get Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University katra jammu and kashmir

Harsh Chandravanshi 8th Oct, 2020

Hi Aspirant!
According to data and cutoffs provided by JoSSA Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University katra jammu and kashmir does not provide any reserved category for any caste hence to get admission their your General rank would be considered. And according to last round cutoffs of previous year cutoffs the general rank should also be under 58k.

Hence you can observe and predict your chances to get admission by tallying your general rank.

I hope it helps.

my daughter Neet exam score 378 belong to SC category girls Jammu and Kashmir she meet any chance to government college for MBBS seat

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 27th Sep, 2020
Hi

It's quite difficult to predict that whether you will get  seat or not as  cut off marks for medical colleges keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.

But when we go through previous data then it suggests that with 378 marks you hold a  chance to get  a seat in a Government Medical College

For example,
in neet 2019, 375 marks for sc category got  a seat in Government Medical College, Anantnag under Jammu and Kashmir state quota
