i am from jammu and kashmir......i want to ask that....is this possible.....if i give 2nd prefrence to any college...and anyother give first prefrence to that....she got less marks than me....but as his prefrence for that college is first and my prefrence is 2nd...she got that college and i didinot?

Prateek kumar 8th Nov, 2021

Hey Aisha,

If you have filled any college in second preference and other student as you stated have filled it on the first preference, the marks obtained will play a very crucial role in the allotment of college as if the marks difference between you and the other student is very far apart then definitely you will  have great chance to get both the college but if the marks difference is less like for 10- 20 marks then she might also get that college and if she is getting than college you will be definitely allotted that college as you have more marks than that of her.

But she will have a chance to get in as the institution is her 1st choice and you have it as a option and I would suggest that you focus on your first choice.

I have scored 534 marks in neet 2021 ug (EWS girl ) state : jammu and kashmir any chances in gmc kathua

Anurag Khanna 6th Nov, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

It is quite difficult to make any accurate prediction of your admission chances in any particular college because the cut-off keeps on changing every year depending upon various factors such as :-

*** number of candidates appeared in NEET 2021

*** difficulty level of the paper

*** top score for NEET 2021

*** total number of seats available for admission and so on.

But we can help you on the basis of previous years cut-offs, by analyzing data of previous years we can guide you upto some sort of your admission chances in Government Medical College, kathua .

So if we go through previous years cut-offs then according to that, you have good chances of getting Government Medical College, kathua on such marks and category . Because as we go through previous years cut-off data then it shows that the closing cut-off marks were around 514 for Government Medical College, kathua for General category and for EWS category the cut-offs are quite lower because EWS is the reserved category..

You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the link given below :-

my rank is 216770 , should I expect to get a govt mbbs college in Jammu and Kashmir under sc category?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 1st Nov, 2021

Hi

It is difficult to make prediction as cut off keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like

  • number of students that appeared in the neet examination,

  • kind of marks obtained by students  in neet ,

  • toughness level of the neet examination,

  • number of seats available etc.

But when we go through previous data then

>>>>> with 216770 rank

you hold a low chance to get mbbs seat in Government Medical College

For example,

in neet  2020, 185160 rank was closing / cut off rank for sc category to get mbbs seat in Government Medical College under jammu and kashmir state quota and it was for Government Medical College, Baramulla

You can check the same at

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-j-k

But yes,

You have chances in deemed universities for mbbs like:-

----------) Dr. DYP Edu. Soc. Deemed Uni., Kolhapur

----------) Vinayaka Missions Medical College and Hospital, Karaikal

----------) Krishna Institute of  Medical Sc., Karad

----------) JLN Medical College, Datta Meghe, Wardha

----------) Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and RI, Puducherry

Above prediction is on the basis of past year data but  cutoff keeps changing every year  due to   many factors as mentioned earlier, so to have a clear picture of the colleges in   which you have to chances and

to get the complete list of colleges in which you have chances, you can go through our college predictor at

https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

It gives you a personalized report with top college in which you have chances for admission , with the help of predicted colleges you can make better choice while filling your choices of colleges during your counselling

Thankyou

sir can I get DTU college through pmsss. i scored 454 marks (90.8) in boards and i have a backward category certificate. from jammu and kashmir.

pragyabisherwal 9th Dec, 2021

Hello

Delhi Technological University is one of the most prestigious colleges included in the jk pmsss. This is the option chosen by the majority of top 12th grade students. According to my experience, you should be among the top 15 students in your class. Jk pmsss has a high level of transparency. The selection process is entirely merit-based. As a result, your odds of being able to acquire a seat are quite slim. To gain seats through PMSSS, your 12th grade scores must be quite high. The AICTE will pay the college and hostel costs in this situation, which you may already be aware of.

Hope this help

Hello all. i got 195 neet score. And i am from jammu and kashmir and have sc category. can i get any government college.

Kashish Saxena 5th Dec, 2021

Hello aspirant,

On the basis of previous year cutoffs, at your score you have almost nil probability of getting admission in government medical college or government dental colleges in your state. Only there are chances for you to get admission in private dental colleges under management quota in states such as Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka etc.

However remember that cutoffs changes every year due to various factors such as number of students attempted exam and number of students participated in counselling, difficulty level of exam, reservations and more. So nothing can be predicted with certainty until the official announcement of cutoff.

For college options at your score you can use our NEET UG college predictor tool:
