Which college should i choose either BJ medical college, Ahmedabad (State quota) or AIIMS jammu...(other All India college).. If Im eligible for both

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 10th Nov, 2020

You haven't mentioned your score or the Category that you belong to. Compared to 2019, the NEET 2020 cut offs have changed considerably higher than expected. With the top score being 720 which is 19 marks greater than 2019's top score, it is difficult to predict chances. But if you are asking about the comparison, you need to know that BJ Medical College is one of the oldest Medical Colleges while AIIMS has it reputation as the best research Medical centers. But because AIIMS Jammu is comparatively new to BJ, the infrastructure might be still evolving while BJ has already the best set up with acclaimed faculty. So if you can get BJ Medical College we think you should opt for it. But again, it is your call. For a complete list of colleges that you may have a shot at, please use our College predictor: https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer .

i paid 15k and uploaded my docs in jossas first round i got iit jammu floated till last round[6th round] got iit bhilai in case i choose for drop [i didnt yet filled the registraion at iit bhilai] AM I ELIGIBLE FOR JEE ADVANCE 2021

Anurag Khanna 10th Nov, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

Let me make you clear that there are only two attempts of JEE-advance for two consecutive years after passing class-12th. For e.g., if you have passed your class 12th in 2019-20 then you can appear only for JEE-Advance of 2019-20 and 2020-21, provided that you qualify JEE-Main each time to sit for JEE-Advance.

So attempts of JEE-Advance are not decided on the basis of JOSAA counselling, whether you get seat through JOSAA Counselling or not you will be eligible for JEE-Main and JEE-Advance for next year if you are eligible according to the above example.

For complete details about JEE-Advance refer to the link given below :-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

Can I get a seat(mbbs) in ascoms jammu under hindu minority quota with 399 marks in neet ug general category?

Karam Vir 28th Sep, 2020

Hi,

It is yet difficult to tell the college which you can get by these marks. The cutoff and all admission procedures are not yet out for state level as well as All India level.

But, with these marks it is quite difficult to acquire a seat both at All India and State level for a general category.

However , you can use our college predictor tool to know about the possibility of getting college based upon your marks.

which should be preferred? IIT Bhilai or IIT Jammu for CSE

Ishita Upadhyay 4th Nov, 2020

hello aspirant,

CSE at Jammu, I would say not at all. It has quite poor quality of peer group, almost nil alumni and no permanent campus.

Regarding, IIT Bhilai, has recieved lot of socila recognition, it's also growing quite quickly. Hence, better peer group you'll get

I would recommend to prefer IIT Bhila over IIT Jammu

Thank You

Nishu Kumari 24th Sep, 2020

Hii there,

You can visit the official website and check the admission procedure:

https://www.clujammu.in/

There you will get some documents for admission.

The procedure is as follows:

This year there will be no entrance exam like CLUJET for admission to various course. Instead of that admissions are done merit based.

Merit based Admissions to B.A/B.Sc./B.Com (Hons), M.A./ M.Sc./ M.Com/M.Ed. and Integrated PG Programmes in various subjects as s chools and Colleges of the Cluster University of Jammu.

Merit based admissions to UG Courses offered by the Constituent Colleges as c olleges of Cluster University of Jammu.

But according to the site the last date for registration with late fee was upto 20/08/2020. You can still try if there is any vacant seat, if someone would have left it. Contact the college via mail or contact.

All the best!!

my rank in jkcet merit list is 1660 .can i get admission in gcet jammu in electrical branch. i am from RBA category

Tarreni Behera 31st Oct, 2020

Dear aspirant,

Compared to the number of seeds that are present in GCET Jammu, it is going to be difficult for you to get admission in the institute in the electrical branch. For general category students the cut off rank is 350. Since you belong to RBA category, you have slim chances of making to the institute. However this cannot be guaranteed completely e and u need to wait for the rounds of counselling to see for yourself.

For any further information regarding admission in GCET Jammu you can always refer to this URL:-

https://www.google.co.in/amp/s/engineering.careers360.com/articles/jkcet/amp

This will help you in a long way in clarifying your doubts and removing whatever obstacles that you have in your mind while preparing for admission. Generally core branches in the institute demand a low cutoff rank and reservation sears are also limited. the only way is that you can crack into the institution is through your reservation. still you have a very good rank and you may want to see other colleges as well. at this great rank of yours you may want to compare GCET Jammu with other colleges to see which college offers electrical branch has the best institute of them all.

Now when you are thinking to compare this colleges you should compare them on the basis of few key parameters like placement prospects good teachers, infrastructure, skill oriented education, value based internships, exposure to industry, etc.

Now in order to compare colleges you need to click on this link:-

civil from IIT Jammu or mineral and metallurgical engineering from IIT DHANBAD, which is best.

Abhishek Roy 28th Oct, 2020

I believe you are mistaken there are no Metallurgy Courses at IIT ISM Dhanbad. Department of Mining Engineering has three courses namely Mining, Mineral and Mining Machinery, and all three of them experience almost 90% placements with conglomerates like Tata Steel, Hindalco, Vedanta, Coal India, ExxonMobil, Schlumberger being regular recruiters. IIT ISM Being loacted near mineral rich areas of Jharkhand and Odisha further provides impetus to training and placement opportunities.

Secondly IIT ISM is a much older technical institute than IIT Jammu and has good infrastructure, faculty, research facilities and employer outlook.
