compare cse in iit jammu and iiit naya raipur

Vipul Chaudhary 10th Oct, 2020

Hi there!

Let me tell you one thing that your question does inform that you aren't biased towards any of those branches.

So you would possibly be worried about the life-style , campus or even about placement or maybe almost placement.

Now coming to "which is better" a part of question .

At IIT Jodhpur, you'll end up in bunch of top minds of country because all of them (mechanical ones) secured an AIR of around 4000 in toughest exam of the country.

This would offer you more chance to prosper due to competition there.

And if you inquire from me about the life , only one word is enough , "awesome".

Rest depends upon your interest of branch.

Thank You.

I am a Girl with JEE ADV AIR 7556. As per 2019 Cut off I may get CSE - Bhilai, Dhrwad, Jammu, Kerala, ECE/EEE-Dhanbad, Patna, Electricalc- Dhanbad, Indore, BBSR, Chemical - Roorkie, Dhanbad, BHU, Guwahati. Pl suggest preference for choice locking based on placements scope.

Abhijeet Yadav 10th Oct, 2020

Dear Aspirants,

First you should think of that branch or field of engineering in which you are interested because it helps you in long run because placement offers based on your skills not your college. If you are looking for college for placement You can choose CSE because it always pays handsome placement offers. You can also go ECE and Electrical from Dhanbad . You can also opt for Electrical in BHU.

Best of luck

i took admission for b.tech EE at gcet jammu 2019 . i attended classes for 2 monthes . i did not submit any exam form at gcet (¿ preparing for neet 2020) hence not attended exams at gcet(didnt cancel admission).what is my position at gcet jammu , how to attend classes at gcet and what should i do?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 9th Oct, 2020

Even if you haven't appeared for any exam, if your name has been in the final admission list and you did attend classes for 2 months, you are still a student of the College. And because you haven't cancelled the admission yet, you are still their student. And if you want to cancel your admission, you need to reach out to the College administration.

my sc category rank 1283 in jee adv2020 and also successfully qualified for jee adv.i am intrested in cs branch in iits but as i inquired low rank iits like iit jammu is available.should i go with it or leave it and admitt in top iit with other branche

Heena GJ 5th Oct, 2020

Hi Shweta

As you have qualified JEE advanced and you want to go for CS branch, I would suggest take the jammu IIT college with your preferred branch because dropping that only because it is not top of IIT would be not appropriate.

As if you have passion in particular field then whichever college you get is not much imp, you'll do great in any of it. And I believe branch over college. Although its upto you whether you are happy at particular place. Also Jammu IIT is also good in terms of academics also so you should go for it.

Hope this information helps!

total number of seats for MBBS in GMC Jammu

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 24th Aug, 2020
Hi

GMC , Jammu is a good Medical College and it has been ranked 64th in the list of top medical college in India.

* There are a total of 180 seats in GMC Jammu for MBBS

If I tell you about its cut off marks , then in neet 2019, 533 marks was the lowest marks that was required for general category for getting a seat in Government Medical College, Jammu under 100% State quota.

But cut off marks  keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.

So , you should try to get at least 550 marks  to be on the safer side

Thankyou

Hello aspirant,

Congratulations for getting good rank in JKCET.

According to previous years cut offs the closing rank for civil branch in government college of engineering and technology Jammu is nearly between 450 to 700. At your rank it is very difficult to get Civil branch in GCET, Jammu. Your rank is little high than cutoff. so, there is very less chance to get Civil branch in GCET Colleges. But if the cut off varies you can get chance to get Civil branch in GCET.

i got 828 rank in jkcet. can i get civil branch in gcet jammu. category general

Samarth Laghate 1st Oct, 2020

Hello aspirant,

Congratulations for getting good rank in JKCET. According to last some years cut offs the closing rank for civil branch in government college of engineering and technology Jammu is nearly between 450 to 700. As your rank is little more than that of closing rank so that you have less chances of getting admission for civil branch.

But as cut offs may vary year to year so you should go for that with your fortunate luck you will get it. You have good chances of getting electrical engineering so if you are interested in that then you can for that also.

For more information about GCET Jammu you can go through the below link in which all the information about the college is given.

can you please tell me if I have EWS will it be beneficial in neet. how many seats are there in GMC Jammu for EWS. which have more Lower cutoff EWS OR RBA in GMC Jammu ... which will give more more chances to qualify in GMC Jammu... please tell me in full explained way..

Ayush Pandey 27th Aug, 2020
Hello,

At present all the colleges do not have reserved seats for EWS category students and thus it is not making a lot of difference and having almost similar cutoff as General category.
GMC comes under OBC and 18% seats are reserved for OBCs under RBA, ALC and OSC. That is around 144 seats. And EWS has approximately 80 seats overall
