will I be able to give jee advanced 2021 with 91.8 percentile in jee mains?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 29th Aug, 2021

Hi

I am guessing that you are from general category

It's quite difficult to predict JEE mains qualifying cutoff to be eligible for JEE advanced examination as it keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like :-

******number of students that appeared in the  jee main exam,

******kind of marks obtained by them ,

******toughness level of the jee main examination for different shift etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then last 2 years qualifying cut off percentile in order to be eligible for JEE advanced is provided below for general category:-

  • 2020 :-90.3765335

  • 2019 :- 89.7548849

You can check the same at our page the link is provided below

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

So,   with 91.8 percentile,  you have good chances to qualify JEE main 2021 to be eligible for JEE advanced examination

What is the cutoff in JEE ADVANCED 2021 in order to get admission in IIST(Indian Institute of Science and Technology)?

Hi
All the IIT aspirants have to sit for JEE Main and afterward, JEE Advanced. Only the top 2, 24,000 scores in JEE Main will become eligible to sit for JEE advanced. The candidates must have secured at least 75% marks or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th Class Examination conducted by respective boards.
To get seat in this college you should get atleast below 5000 Rank in JEE Mains. To get admission through JEE Advanced you should get atleast above 35 percentile.

If an SC student got 60.89 percentile in jee mains. Is he/she qualify to appear In jee advanced 2021?

Sharon Rose Student Expert 28th Aug, 2021

Hello,

To appear for JEE Advanced you must have qualified in JEE Main 2021. The minimum cut off percentile for JEE Main 2021 is yet to announced. Last year the qualifying cut off percentile was  50.1760245 for SC category. This year it is expected to be in between 50-55 percentile. Considering the previous year cut off you have chances to qualify in JEE Main 2021 and appear for JEE Advanced. You may start your preparation for JEE Advanced. Cut off depends on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc. It may increase or decrease depending on these factors.

can I appear for jee advanced 2021 with 85 percentile general category?

suchayitaanusaha 27th Aug, 2021

Hello,

For jee advanced eligibility criteria main thing is

  • You have to get minimum 75% marks in 12th class examination.
  • You have to qualify the JEE Mains examination.
  • Your rank in between 25 lakh then you can appear for JEE advanced examination.

So you got 85 percentile in JEE Mains examination I guess although you didn't mention the percentage is JEE main or 12th class. If it's JEE mains score then your rank in between 160000. So you can appear for JEE advanced examination.

If you getting good marks in JEE advanced then you get IITs also.

All the best.

hello I got 41.503 pecentile in feb 2021 aatempt of sc category kya mai jee advanced 2021 ke liye qualify hun or not

Nimisha Sharma 27th Aug, 2021
The tentative qualifying percentile for SC category
is around 51-55. With your percentile it is unlikely for you to clear Jee Mains and be eligible for Jee Advanced. You can attempt the paper again or try for other exams  like Bitsat, VITEEE, etc. You may be able to get private colleges but not the top ones.
Good Luck !

what CRL rank can we accept at 37% marks in JEE ADVANCED 2021

Harsha Sinha 24th Aug, 2021

Hi there,

If you are expecting 37% marks in jee advance then you can think that your rank would be something in the range of 8500,19000.

Although jee advance marks are never fixed hence any analysis won't work it all depends on the difficulty level of the paper and the number of question in the paper and also on the other candidates. Nothing is predictable about jee advance. That is the reason it is on the most difficult paper In India.

how much percentage in jee advanced 2021 should get obc ncl category candidates to get iit madras?

Anurag Khanna 28th Sep, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

As we go through the latest cut-offs of 2020 then it shows that the closing rank for OBC category was 5227 for Biological Sciences (5 Years, Bachelor of Science and Master of Science (Dual Degree)) branch in IIT Madras .

See it is quite difficult to tell you about exact marks to score because for JEE-Advance no maximum marks are fixed but yes with regards to JEE-Advance 2021 if you secure your AIR in JEE-Advance under top 5200 in OBC category then there would be good chances for you to get into IIT Madras .

You can check out the latest cut-offs from the link given below :-

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your JEE-Main score, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor :-

I passed class 12th in 2020. my 12th result 73% I didnt appear in jee adv 2020 I am preparing for improvement exam, jee mains and jee advanced 2021 I think this year I will not qualify for jee advance so, can I appear in jee advanced 2022

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 12th Aug, 2021

Hi

No, you won't be eligible for jee advanced 2022

This is because,

One has a total of two attempts for JEE advanced over two consecutive years starting from the year of appearing for 12th board examination i. e as per , eligibility criteria one is eligible for JEE advanced examination only in the year in which he or she appears for 12th board examination and the next year following it , irrespective of whether appear in them or not

So, with 12 th appearing year as 2020 ,

  • you were eligible for jee advanced 2020 and
  • you are eligible for jee advanced 2021 only. Thus, not eligible for JEE advanced 2022

You can check detailed eligibility criteria of JEE advanced by visiting our page the link for the same page is provided below

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-advanced-eligibility-criteria

If I tell you about Jee main then,

One can give JEE Mains entrance examination for a maximum of 3 consecutive years starting from the year of passing 12th board examination.

Now, your 12th passing year is 2020

So, you were eligible for jee main 2020 , you

  • were eligible for jee main 2020

  • are eligible jee main 2021 ,

  • will be eligible jee main 2022 as well .

Thankyou
