It's quite difficult to predict whether you will qualify or not as JEE main qualifying cutoff to be eligible for JEE advanced examination keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like :-

*number of students that appeared in the  jee main exam,

Hello,

To appear for JEE Advanced you must have qualified in JEE Main 2021. The minimum cut off percentile for JEE Main 2021 is yet to announced. Last year the qualifying cut off percentile was  50.1760245 for SC category. This year it is expected to be in between 50-55 percentile.

Hello,

For jee advanced eligibility criteria main thing is

  • You have to get minimum 75% marks in 12th class examination.
  • You have to qualify the JEE Mains examination.
  • Your rank in between 25 lakh then you can appear for JEE advanced examination.

So you got 85 percentile in JEE Mains

The tentative qualifying percentile for SC category
is around 51-55. With your percentile it is unlikely for you to clear Jee Mains and be eligible for Jee Advanced. You can attempt the paper again or try for other exams  like Bitsat, VITEEE, etc. You may be able to get private

As we go through the latest cut-offs of 2020 then it shows that the closing rank for OBC category was 5227 for Biological Sciences (5 Years, Bachelor of Science and Master of Science (Dual Degree)) branch in IIT Madras .
