I want to do B.Tech in CSE but I scored 42% in jee main 2021.Now what should I do ?

thandrasrivarsha1719 15th Sep, 2021

With this rank, They are very less chances to get a seat through counselling , so I suggest you to get with the private colleges according your preferences. As the admission is based on your rank and general details be sure about the  cut-off marks on the given courses.

You can also get admissions chances  through State level Government & private colleges.

Making  prediction is difficult as  cutoff  depends upon various factors like :-

>>>>>>  students number  that appeared in the  jee main exam,

>>>>>> number of available seats,

>>>>>> performance of different students in the examination,

>>>>>> the branch you want,

>>>>>> the category you belong etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then

With   2804 rank,

For cse, you have chances in nits and iiits

sir jee main 2021 I get 65percentile and RANK 7610 IN ST CAT SIR PL GUIDE ME PROPER

Anurag Khanna 23rd Sep, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Closing ST ranks of last year were like :-

@Other state quota

Indian Institute of Information Technology Manipur - Electronics and Communication Engineering (6065)

Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar - Computer Science and Engineering (6061)

@Home state quota

National Institute of Technology Calicut - Civil Engineering (11849)

National Institute of Technology Agartala - Mechanical Engineering (37250)

Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar - Computer Science and Engineering (27,269)

You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the official website of JOSAA as given below :-

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

So on such rank and category you have very less chances to get any of the NITs/IIITs/CFTIs/GFTIs, so I would recommend you to either go for state counselling for autonomous government colleges or for private colleges or you can prepare for further attempts of JEE-Main and to help you in your preparation we have some resources which you can access from the link given below :-

https://learn.careers360.com/jee-main-coaching/?utm_source=%20QnA

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

You can also check out the JEE-Main 2021 cut-off and know whether you have qualified for JEE-Advance 2021 or not, so it is given below :-

==>> Common Rank List (CRL) - 87.8992241-100.0000000 Percentile

==>> GEN-EWS - 66.2214845-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 68.0234447-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Caste (SC) - 46.8825338-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 34.6728999 87.8474721 Percentile

==>> PwD - 0.0096375-87.8273359 Percentile

So as per the above table you are qualified for JEE-Advance 2021 so you should start preparing for it.

Md Qutubuddin Ansari 18th Sep, 2021

Hello,

I hope you are doing well, As the competition is getting higher every year you would not be able to get admission in government colleges for CS with 83.45 percentile but with this percentile you can surely take admission in some well know private colleges. You can consider the following colleges for CS -

KIIT Bhubaneswar

LPU Phagwara

LNCT Bhopal

I hope you find this information helpful. I wish you all the best for your future.

can a girl student of obc get admission in nit with obc rank 26800 in JEE main 2021

SREYASHI SEN 15th Sep, 2021

Dear Aspirant,

Based on previous years' cutoffs, admission to NITs at this category rank is not conceivable. You might get north eastern NITS in spot rounds, but there's no guarantee because spot rounds don't always happen. If seats aren't full, it's up to the college. Please wait for the cutoffs to be released. You can also apply to other colleges like as BITS, VIT, SRM, and others.

I hope this information is useful!!

3. MIT, Pune
4. GNIOT, Noida
