Hope you are doing good. With an All India Rank of 143000 , getting into NITs / IIITs / BIT Meshra, or any regional college like CoEP or VJTI or DTU, will be quite difficult even though you belong to OBC Category. Therefore, it is advisable that you take other college specific exams like BITSAT, VITEE, SRMJEE, etc.
However, if you wish to take admission based on your JEE rank, you can use the college predictor app to get an exhaustive list of all the colleges you will qualify for. Link: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?utm_source=qna&utm_medium=jee_cp
Hope this helps.
Hi aspirant,
Unfortunately now there is no way you can correct your category in the JEE main application form. There can be two scenarios after you have fille d the wrong category.
Hope it helps!!
See on such rank NITs with CSE branch are bit difficult but yes you can get some IIITs with CSE branch
If we go through previous year's data of seat allotment On the basis of data mentioned in the question by you, you can go for the enlisted colleges :-
Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati - Computer Science and Engineering (7936)
Indian Institute of Information Technology(IIIT) Kilohrad, Sonepat, Haryana - Computer Science and Engineering (8053)
Indian Institute of Information Technology(IIIT), Vadodara, Gujrat - Computer Science and Engineering (8841)
And some more. You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the official website of JOSAA as given below :-

So with such CRL rank your OBC rank is expected to somewhere around 7000-8000
If we go through previous year's data of seat allotment On the basis of data mentioned in the question by you, you have very low chances for any of the nITs with CSE branch but you can go for some IIITs with CSE branch :-
Hello
Assuming you from general category.
Your profile suggests that your home state is MP
It's quite difficult to predict because cutoff keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like :-
******number of students that appeared in the jee main exam,
****** number of available seats,
****** performance of different students in the examination,
****** the category you belong etc.
With your 86915 rank
You have low chance in any NITs
For example,
Under other state quota , closing rank for some of the nits for which closing rank goes low are listed below along with their closing rank in the 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 for general category :-
National Institute of Technology Sikkim, Civil Engineering :- 47412
National Institute of Technology, Mizoram, Civil Engineering:- 49757
National Institute of Technology Agartala, Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering :- 50,010
You can check the same at
From above, it is clear that you need at least a rank of around 45,000 - 50,000 to get into an NIT .
Same is the case with IIITs your chances are low.
But yes,
With your rank,
You have chances in GFTIs in CSAB counselling are listed below along with the link for their previous year cutoff :-

Hello Manish,
There are very less chances to get a seat in IIITs or NITs through this rank. You may try in CSAB last round councelling, if seats remains vacant then you have a chance to get a seat. But you have chances to get a seat in state councelling.

Hope this will help you.
Thank you!
With a Percentile of 63.99 in JEE Main, you CRL will be anywhere between 390-400k, with a corresponding OBC Rank anywhere around 100-150k in JEE Main. You probably wont secure any NIT, IIIT or GFTI at this Rank, as well as low chances for State Engineering College in your State, if Admission through JEE Main. You should probably target Private Engineering Colleges accepting JEE Main Scorecard for Admission and Counselling Purposes.
