my rank is 111750 in jee main 2021 in general categoty am i elligible for jee advanced

Anurag Khanna 16th Sep, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Sorry we cannot help you with the accurate information because on the basis of your rank we cannot predict whether you are qualified for JEE-Advance 2021 or not, percentile that you have scored will decide whether you have qualified for JEE-Advance 2021 or not .

As the cut-offs are released along with the JEE-Main 2021 result so now it is clear that at what percentile the candidate is eligible for JEE-Advance 2021. As per the NTA, qualifying cut-offs goes like :-

==>> Common Rank List (CRL) - 87.8992241-100.0000000 Percentile

==>> GEN-EWS - 66.2214845-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 68.0234447-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Caste (SC) - 46.8825338-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 34.6728999 87.8474721 Percentile

==>> PwD - 0.0096375-87.8273359 Percentile

So you can check out the qualifying cut-offs from the above table and check whether you have qualified for JEE-Advance or not.

my jee main 2021 crl rank is 143000 and obc ncl rank is 43000, what are some expected colleges for which I am eligible?

Purbayan Chatterjee 26th Sep, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Hope you are doing good. With an All India Rank of 143000 , getting into NITs / IIITs / BIT Meshra, or any regional college like CoEP or VJTI or DTU, will be quite difficult even though you belong to OBC Category. Therefore, it is advisable that you take other college specific exams like BITSAT, VITEE, SRMJEE, etc.

However, if you wish to take admission based on your JEE rank, you can use the college predictor app to get an exhaustive list of all the colleges you will qualify for. Link: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?utm_source=qna&utm_medium=jee_cp

Hope this helps.

How can I correct my category in JEE MAIN 2021 application form ??

Aditya 15th Sep, 2021

Hi aspirant,

Unfortunately now there is no way you can correct your category in the JEE main application form. There can be two scenarios after you have fille d the wrong category.

  • If you belong to a unreserved category and have mistakenly filled are reserved category in your form then you will have to wait for the next year and appear for exam again.
  • The second scenario is that you belong to a reserved category but have filled unreserved one during the form fillup, in this case you will be treated as a general candidate during the counselling. If you are not satisfied with the allotted seats or result then you can appear again next year by by filling the appropriate category.

Hope it helps!!

Hello Aspirant,

See on such rank NITs with CSE branch are bit difficult but yes you can get some IIITs with CSE branch

If we go through previous year's data of seat allotment On the basis of data mentioned in the question by you, you can go for the enlisted colleges :-

Note that the above list is merely a prediction which has been made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of either JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

Anurag Khanna 16th Sep, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

It seems that the rank given by you is CRL rank if not then please mention your OBC and CRL rank in the comment section below.

So with such CRL rank your OBC rank is expected to somewhere around 7000-8000

If we go through previous year's data of seat allotment On the basis of data mentioned in the question by you, you have very low chances for any of the nITs with CSE branch but you can go for some IIITs with CSE branch :-

I got rank 86915 in jee main 2021 suggest NIT, IIIT ENGG college

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 25th Oct, 2021

Hello

Assuming you from general category.

Your profile suggests that your home state is MP

It's quite difficult to predict because cutoff keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like :-

******number of students that appeared in the  jee main exam,

****** number of available seats,

****** performance of different students in the examination,

****** the category you belong etc.

With your 86915 rank

You have low chance in any NITs

For example,

Under other state quota , closing rank for some of the nits for which closing rank goes low are listed below along with their closing rank in the 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 for general category  :-

  • National Institute of Technology Sikkim, Civil Engineering :- 47412

  • National Institute of Technology, Mizoram, Civil Engineering:- 49757

  • National Institute of Technology Agartala, Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering :- 50,010

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

From above, it is clear that you need at least a rank of around 45,000 - 50,000 to get into an NIT .

Same is the case with IIITs your chances are low.

But yes,

With your rank,

You have chances in GFTIs in CSAB counselling are listed below along with the link for their previous year cutoff :-

------) Mizoram University, Aizawl( in csab counselling) :- https://www.careers360.com/university/mizoram-university-aizawl/cut-off

------) Assam University, Silchar ( in csab counselling) :- https://www.careers360.com/university/assam-university-silchar/cut-off

------) Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal ( in csab counselling) :- https://www.careers360.com/university/sant-longowal-institute-of-engineering-and-technology-longowal/cut-off

------) Tezpur University, Tezpur( in csab counselling) :- https://www.careers360.com/university/tezpur-university-tezpur/cut-off

This prediction of colleges is  based of past year data but  cut off or closing rank changes every year depending upon many factors like the number of students that give the examination, difficulty level of the JEE main  for different shifts etc so

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below

Can I get Computer Science in any NIT with 14000 as my OBC rank in jee main 2021.

Nimisha Sharma 15th Sep, 2021
According to your rank, it is unlikely for you to get computer science in any NIT or IIIT even the lower ones. Generally the closing obc category rank for Cse in all institutions is around 7000-8000.
Although you may get other branches such as Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, etc in good NITs/IIITs/GFTIs. You can also explore private colleges accepting jee mains score if you wish to pursue Computer Science only. I have provided the link below for the same.

basic on jee main 2021 unique candidate (934610) , my obc rank is around 58000 and Rajasthan home state, then can i got college in jossa or CSAB with my obc rank.

sknathani75 15th Sep, 2021

Hello Manish,

There are very less chances to get a seat in IIITs or NITs through this rank. You may try in CSAB last round councelling, if seats remains vacant then you have a chance to get a seat. But you have chances to get a seat in state councelling.

You can predict best colleges according to your percentile and ranking through:

What is the rank in OBC category in 63.99 percentile in JEE Main 2021? I am from OBC category!!!!

Abhishek Roy 14th Sep, 2021

With a Percentile of 63.99 in JEE Main, you CRL will be anywhere between 390-400k, with a corresponding OBC Rank anywhere around 100-150k in JEE Main. You probably wont secure any NIT, IIIT or GFTI at this Rank, as well as low chances for State Engineering College in your State, if Admission through JEE Main. You should probably target Private Engineering Colleges accepting JEE Main Scorecard for Admission and Counselling Purposes.
