my rank in jee main 2021 is 27834 in obc and general rank is 85000 could have chances iit or niit college please suggest me

Ashmi Singh 15th Oct, 2021

Hello Aspirant! With this rank of yours, it would be quite difficult for you to get into NIT. Getting IIIT is also not possible. However, you can try in the CSAB round and also for your home state NIT's. You can either try for some other state level counselling's like JAC Delhi and JAC Chandigarh or some other better private colleges like:
Thapar University
KIIT, Bhubaneshwar
Chandigarh University
UPES, Dehradun
MMMUT, Gorakhpur
etc.
You can also use this link to predict your college:

Hope this helps.

I completed my 12th in 2020 and I got 72.20 % I already gave jee main 2021 and I got 60 percentile now I want to give jee main 2022 to get good nit should I drop and prepare for it

Manas Daspriya 12th Oct, 2021

Hello aspirant,

If you are confident and determined that you want to study in NIT's then you should drop for a year.

But you have to work hard as 60 percentile is very low compared to the ongoing competition. You should at least score more than 95-97% to secure top NIT's.

For preparation tips for JEE Main 2022, you can visit the link given below,

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/how-prepare-for-jee-main

In the mean time if you have some spare time you can learn many new skill from offline/online mode. Which may help you in later career.

Hope it helps you..

Best of luck..

Based on your rank and category and OPEN seat you will not be able to get into any NIT or GFTI with such a high rank. Even with Home State quota unfortunately you will not be able to get into NIT Rourkela.

You can use our College Predictor tool for JEE Mains to help you in finding college

Hi
See on the basis of JEE-Main scores you can only go for NITS/IIITs/GFTIS/CFTIs and for IITs you need to appear for JEE-Advance and we need JEE Advance score to predict the colleges for you.

If we go through previous year's data of seat allotment some colleges

Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur - Computer Science and Engineering (349)

Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology Bhopal - Computer Science and Engineering (584)

Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad - Computer Science and Engineering
Thank you.
