hey is branch change option available inside this college after first yr???

Shivam Kumar 20th Sep, 2021

Dear aspirant

You have not mention the name of the college about which you want to know.

Different colleges have their own criterion and rules regarding branch change process. Most colleges allow branch change after the completion of first year. It depends on two factors.

  1. College fixes a minimum CGPA or percentage that the student must get in order to participate in the branch change process.
  2. It depends on the number of seats in the college in particular branch.

Please mention the name of that particular college.

what is a REAP merit list? and how its made.? any way I can predict my rank in that list?

Anurag Khanna 6th Aug, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

REAP stands for Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process. It is conducted by RTU Kota for admission to engineering colleges of Rajasthan. REAP announces a merit list for those candidates who got registered for the counselling and that merit list os based on the class 12th result of the registered candidate because earlier in REAP merit list preparation JEE-Main result as well as result of class 12th were taken into consideration but since this pandemic has started and due to much delay in KEE-Main result announcement the authorities decided to give admission only on the basis of class 12th result.

I scored 81 in Jee Mains, 20 July, shift 1. What percentile can be expected?

Akash Singh 29th Jul, 2021

Dear student,

What is your category?

You have not mentioned so I will consider you as general.

Now to answer your question, if we try to find your rank on the marks you have mentioned then we will find that your percentile will be somewhere between 89.04 - 91.9.

On this percentile if we try to find your rank then it will be somewhere around 102300 - 115000.

You can check your predicted rank yourself by going through our rank predictor tool. Below I am mentioning the link of it.

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

Not too much but you can expect little variation in actual rank and predicted rank as rank depends on various factors.

You can use our college predictor tool to see which colleges you can get based on your rank. I've included a link to it below.

Below I am pasting the link for it.

I hope this answer helps you.

I got 168marks in jee mains 25th July 2021 1st shift, how much percentile will get?

Anurag Khanna 28th Jul, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

See it is quite difficult to tell you an exact figure of your percentile because it keeps on changing every year depending upon various factors but yes we can help you with approximate figures on the basis of analysis of previous year's data.

So If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile Vs rank for JEE-Main 2020 then according to the marks mentioned by you in the question your percentile is expected to be in the range of 98.27 - 99.33 as the shift that you have mentioned was quite moderate in comparison to other shifts.

You can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

Or

You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank and percentile :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

Note that the percentile which is predicted is only the expected percentile on the basis of previous year's data so your actual percentile might vary depending upon current factors.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

I got 94.3 percentile (154 marks) in JEE main Feb attempt and 95.25 percentile (126 marks) in March, July attempt on 20th July shift 2 and getting approx 155 marks, will I get a seat in any nit or should start filling forms of private colleges?(if yes then which colleges)(GEN RAJASTHAN Boy)(CSE)

Tanmay V 22nd Jul, 2021

Dear Aspirant,

See According to JEE Mains Rank/Percentile predictor your percentile in July Shift 2 with these marks would be around:

97.78 - 98.84

If we consider 97.78 then  CRL Rank would be : 22711 - 25530

If we consider 98.84 then CRL Rank would be : 11867 - 13340

JEE Mains Rank predictor: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

So if your rank falls between 13000 - 25000 there are chances for getting a seat in NIT, CSE branch mayor may not be secured in some of the NITs.There are more chances of other branches in NITs.

Some of the NITs where CSE Branch can be secured are (according to previous year trends of cutoffs closing rank):

NIT Agartala

National Institute of Technology Patna

You can check all previous year cutoffs closing ranks of all NITs on JOSAA website:

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Also you can use this-

This gives provides options to explore   various factors like Entrance exam, location of college, branch, etc.. -

the cutoff rank given in the list provided by josaa, is the rank from all india rank or category rank. for eg:- obc-ncl given 6000 opening rank then is 6000 all india rank or category rank?

Atul Singh 18th Jul, 2021

Dear Student,

In every list and every round of counselling done by any entrance exam you will find only general rank, category rank doesn't matter anywhere, you also have to enter the general rank only whenever they ask you and if you see column for category then that is the cutoff of that category based upon the general rank.

For example if the cutoff for general student for CSE in any college is 15K then 13K for OBC, 10K for general EWS, 6K for ST/SC. And you have to know that all the ranks are general rank only cutoffs are different. So whenever you see any list then you have compare the cutoffs only with the general rank.

Best Of Luck!!!
