I got 102 marks I am from kerala. So can i get cse with home state reservation from kerala to apply in amritapuri campus. Is kerala home state reservation there for Amritapuri campus

Aditya 21st Jul, 2021

Hi aspirant,

Yes you will be eligible to avail the benefits of state quota for admission in Amritapuri campus of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham if you are a resident of Kerala or have completed secondary/senior secondary Studies from the state. There is relaxations in cutoff ranks for the candidates applying under State quota moreover 50 percent of the seats are kept reserved in every course for such candidates.

Hope it helps!!

I got 67.4 percentile in Feb attempt and 77.9 percentile in March attempt of JEE mains. Should I take admission in private college or leave admissions in hope of I getting a govt college, being a dropper?

Sree Student Expert 6th Jun, 2021

Hello Pranav Singh,

Based on your JEE Mains Paper-1 Feb Attempt and March Attempt it can be said that it is better to go for Private Engineering Colleges rather than waiting and wasting 1 year time. You might not be sure whether you get admission in Goverment College next year. If you wish you wait and have faith that you definitely get government college next get then you can drop if not got for Private Engineering Colleges.

how much percentile a OBC-NCL canditate want to get in JEE mains April 2021?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 22nd Mar, 2021

Hi

Actually how much percentile you want to get  in jee main april session depends upon your goal.

For example,

If your goal is to get JEE main qualifying cut off and be eligible for JEE advanced then you should try to get at least around 75 percentile.

For reference,

JEE mains 2021 expected qualifying  CUT OFF percentile is given below for different categories on the basis of past year trends :

.                  .  JEE      MAIN CUT   OFF    PERCENTILE

Category jeemain2020 jeemain2021 expected off

General :-     90.3765335                 90-95

GEN-EWS :-  70.2435518                  70 -75

OBC-NCL :-  72.8887969                   70 -75

SC     :-           50.1760245                  50 -55

ST :-                39.0696101                  40 - 45

PwD :-            0.0618524                      1- 2

You can check the same at our page the link is provided below

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

In case, if you want to get a seat in NIT then you should try to get at least OBC rank of around 15,000 i. e around at least 95 percentile  to get any nit under other state quota.

For instance,

In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 under other state quota in NIT Nagaland closing rank for OBC category was 15340 obc rank and it was for Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering

You can check the same and closing cutoff rank for other branches as well at

i attempted 33 total questions in JEE Main 16th March(Slot 1) out of which I score 12 correct and 5 wrong including 2 integer type from chemistry 9 correct and 5 wrong including 3 integer type from physics However I didnt even touched Maths(Weak) what Approximate percentile will I get with EWS??

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 19th Mar, 2021

hi,

according to jee main 2021 marking scheme, for mcq type questions 4 marks would be awarded, for wrong answer 1 marks would be deducted. now coming to numeric value problem there is no negative marking. based on your performance ,

your chemistry correct answer score= 12*4= 48.

negative marking in chemistry= 3*1+2*0(numeric type question.)= 3

your physics score= 9*4= 36

negative marking in physics= 2*1+3*0 = 2

so total score is (48+36)- (3+2)= 79

however you may calculate your overall percentile and rank from below link:

I have obtained 68 score as a sc student in the Feb session of JEE, will I get a good college ?? and am I eligible for cutoff ??

Sharon Rose Student Expert 9th Mar, 2021

Hello,

The qualifying cut off percentile for SC category for JEE Main 2020 was 50.1760245  and the qualifying cut off percentile for SC category for JEE Main 2021 is expected to be in between 50-55 percentile. Considering the previous year cut off percentile you have decent chances of qualifying JEE Main 2021. But cut off may increase or decrease depending on number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and number of seats available etc. Your overall rank is expected to be in between 327360 - 368000  with such rank you may not get seat in NIT or IIIT. You need to score minimum 90-92 percentile. So if you want to get admission in IIT you can prepare for JEE Advanced but if you want to get admission in NITs or IIITs you need to prepare for JEE Main March/April/May session. We have JEE Main knockout package you may check the details and enroll to help you with your preparation
