I got 94.3 percentile (154 marks) in JEE main Feb attempt and 95.25 percentile (126 marks) in March, July attempt on 20th July shift 2 and getting approx 155 marks, will I get a seat in any nit or should start filling forms of private colleges?(if yes then which colleges)(GEN RAJASTHAN Boy)(CSE)

Tanmay V 22nd Jul, 2021

Dear Aspirant,

See According to JEE Mains Rank/Percentile predictor your percentile in July Shift 2 with these marks would be around:

97.78 - 98.84

If we consider 97.78 then  CRL Rank would be : 22711 - 25530

If we consider 98.84 then CRL Rank would be : 11867 - 13340

JEE Mains Rank predictor: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

So if your rank falls between 13000 - 25000 there are chances for getting a seat in NIT, CSE branch mayor may not be secured in some of the NITs.There are more chances of other branches in NITs.

Some of the NITs where CSE Branch can be secured are (according to previous year trends of cutoffs closing rank):

NIT Agartala

National Institute of Technology Patna

You can check all previous year cutoffs closing ranks of all NITs on JOSAA website:

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Also you can use this-

This gives provides options to explore   various factors like Entrance exam, location of college, branch, etc.. -

the cutoff rank given in the list provided by josaa, is the rank from all india rank or category rank. for eg:- obc-ncl given 6000 opening rank then is 6000 all india rank or category rank?

Atul Singh 18th Jul, 2021

Dear Student,

In every list and every round of counselling done by any entrance exam you will find only general rank, category rank doesn't matter anywhere, you also have to enter the general rank only whenever they ask you and if you see column for category then that is the cutoff of that category based upon the general rank.

For example if the cutoff for general student for CSE in any college is 15K then 13K for OBC, 10K for general EWS, 6K for ST/SC. And you have to know that all the ranks are general rank only cutoffs are different. So whenever you see any list then you have compare the cutoffs only with the general rank.

Best Of Luck!!!

Hi aspirant,

Yes you will be eligible to avail the benefits of state quota for admission in Amritapuri campus of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham if you are a resident of Kerala or have completed secondary/senior secondary Studies from the state. There is relaxations in cutoff ranks for the candidates applying under State quota moreover 50 percent of the seats are kept reserved in every course for such candidates.

I got 67.4 percentile in Feb attempt and 77.9 percentile in March attempt of JEE mains. Should I take admission in private college or leave admissions in hope of I getting a govt college, being a dropper?

Sree Student Expert 6th Jun, 2021

Hello Pranav Singh,

Based on your JEE Mains Paper-1 Feb Attempt and March Attempt it can be said that it is better to go for Private Engineering Colleges rather than waiting and wasting 1 year time. You might not be sure whether you get admission in Goverment College next year. If you wish you wait and have faith that you definitely get government college next get then you can drop if not got for Private Engineering Colleges.

i attempted 33 total questions in JEE Main 16th March(Slot 1) out of which I score 12 correct and 5 wrong including 2 integer type from chemistry 9 correct and 5 wrong including 3 integer type from physics However I didnt even touched Maths(Weak) what Approximate percentile will I get with EWS??

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 19th Mar, 2021

hi,

according to jee main 2021 marking scheme, for mcq type questions 4 marks would be awarded, for wrong answer 1 marks would be deducted. now coming to numeric value problem there is no negative marking. based on your performance ,

your chemistry correct answer score= 12*4= 48.

negative marking in chemistry= 3*1+2*0(numeric type question.)= 3

your physics score= 9*4= 36

negative marking in physics= 2*1+3*0 = 2

so total score is (48+36)- (3+2)= 79

however you may calculate your overall percentile and rank from below link:
