I have obtained 99.4266525 NTA score in Paper 2A. What are the chance of getting in SPA Bhopal or Vijayawada? Further, I could see that last year cut-off ranks for SPAs and NITs for B Arch were very low compared to 2019 or 2018. Any reasons? Appreciate your feedback

Sharon Rose Student Expert 26th Mar, 2021

Hello,

Considering the percentile that you have score it is estimated that your overall rank will be around 340. You have not mentioned your category. It will be helpful for us if you let us know your category as the cut off vary for each category. For now we assume that you belong to general category. The cut off in 2020 for JoSAA round 6 was as follows for genera-other state category for admission in to B.Arch

  • School of Planning & Architecture, Bhopal: 550
  • School of Planning & Architecture: Vijayawada:  694

Looking at the cut off you have decent chances of getting seat in SPA Bhopal and SPA, Vijayawada. Cut off may increase or decrease every year depending on total number of candidates appeared for the paper 2A, difficulty level of examination, total number of seats available etc. For the same reason you have seen that the cut off was slightly low in the year 2020 compared to 2019.

I am female and OBC secured 97.2 percentile in jee main paper 2. Can i get seat in NIT Trichy

Sharon Rose Student Expert 25th Mar, 2021

Hello,

Your overall expected rank will be around 1600 and your category rank is expected to be in between 300-500. The cut off in 2020 JoSAA  round 6 for admission in to National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli for OBC-NCL female category for admission in to Architecture was 339 under home state category and under other state category the cut off rank was 251. Based on the information available in your profile we consider that you belong to Tamil Nadu so by considering the cut off under home state category you have decent chances to get seat in NIT, Trichy in B.Arch. But the cut off rank changes every year depending on number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of exam and number of seats available etc. Your rank may vary after the final result.

how many marks should i get in order to get below 1700 rank in jee main paper 2 according to the last year census ?

ARYAN SAGAR 3rd Feb, 2021
Dear student,

You can get a good All India rank in jee mains paper 2 by working a lot of smart hard work.

Now, as you have not mentioned the category, then I am assuming you from general or open category.

So, if you want to secure rank less than 1700 then you cannot get a good college. But still your marks should be around 200 to get a rankunder 1700. But if you want a good college then you have to score atleast around 270.
