I got 60.33 score in jee mains February session.I belong to Sc and from Tamilnadu. How much rank I need get admission in NIT Trichy or other NITs.Please answer my question.

Subhrajit Mukherjee 10th Mar, 2021

With 60.33 percentile you can expect ranks of around 405824 - 456205 which you know is insufficient for NIT's.

Now if you see the past year trends, then NIT Trichy ranks for Computer Science[as per 2019 data] (as most student aspire CSE, I am considering it since you didn't provided any preferences):

Home State Quota:

Male - 1300

Female: 1435

For other states:

Male - 138

Female - 420

These are the category ranks. Now to get such a SC rank you should have to improve your performance above 85 percentile at least.

my jee mains score is 36.534 whats my marks?

Sharon Rose Student Expert 10th Mar, 2021

Hello,

JEE Main results are given in terms of NTA score/percentile. It is difficult to indicate the exact marks with the given percentile because percentile is that percentage of candidates who have scored equal or less marks than you and it depends on number of candidates appeared, marks scored in individual subjects, tie breakers, normalized score, highest score etc. Taking into consideration the percentile vs marks trends of previous year you might have score in between 21-26 marks in JEE Main. To check the JEE Main percentile vs Marks trend use the link below

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

You have not mentioned your category assuming that you belong to general category it is very difficult to qualify in JEE Main with such percentile. You need to score minimum 90-95 percentile to qualify. The qualifying cut off percentile for JEE Main 2020 was as follows

  • General:90.3765335
  • OBC-NCL:72.8887969
  • EWS:70.2435518
  • SC:50.1760245
  • ST:39.0696101
  • PWD:0.0618524

The cut off percentile is subjected to change every year depending on number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of exam and number of seats available etc. We would suggest you to prepare for JEE Main upcoming sessions and try to score minimum 190-210 marks if you belong to general category and if you belong to reserved category you need to score minimum 90-160 marks to have decent chances of getting seat in a decent college.

i got 25.6 percentile in Feb attempt, can I get 99 percentile in April attempt... please tell....`(><)`. m ready to work hard....but still can I achieve it ??

Anurag Khanna 9th Mar, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

See it is large difference between 25.6 percentile and 99 percentile but still if your concepts are clear then you can of course go for it. So If you are done with your syllabus of JEE-Main 2021 then solving Previous Year Questions, different Mock tests and sample papers is the best practice to get the thorough preparation of JEE-Main or any other competitive examination, so what I would recommend you is just solve one paper in a day in the fixed time of Three hours and don't go for next paper until you clear all your doubts of previous paper so the concepts will be cleared to you. You can download different previous year's question papers and sample papers of JEE-Main from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-sample-papers

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-question-paper

You can also check out our JEE-Main Learner's program which  includes the full length Mock test series  and you check out this from the link given below :-

https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-jee-main-april/?product=27

NTA has also given the facility for mock test which you can give from the link given below :-

https://nta.ac.in/Quiz

As we know that now the aspirants are facing their last time preparation before JEE-Main examination so now the solving papers should be the main priority because at this point of time reading of full concepts and chapters won't be the wise strategy so just be focused on solving papers and some important chapters which have more weightage as compare to that of others and for your reference I have mentioned those chapters :-

@Physics

Modern Physics - 20 marks

Heat and Thermodynamics - 12 marks

Optics - 12 marks

How much marks out of 300 will it be if i get 50 percentile in jee mains....?Pls let me know.....???

Shrishty sahu 8th Mar, 2021
Dear student,

If you score 50 percentile in jee mains then according to the previous years trends you marks would be around 25-30. And your rank at this percentile would be around 5,00,000 to 5,50,000. These estimations are just based on the previous years trends and may vary from year to year as they depend on various factors like difficulty of the examination, number of students that attempted the examination, etc.

After matching with official answer key in jee mains 2021 24 Feb shift 2 my mark is 180 can you predict my percentile and CRL,OBC rank

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 3rd Mar, 2021

Hi

It's quite difficult to make prediction but yes , with 180 marks in 2nd shift of JEE mains on 24th February

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile/amp#referrer=https://www.google.com&csi=1

The above rank is just estimated rank  the actual rank  will vary a bit as above prediction is on the basis of past year trends but marks vs percentile vs rank  keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination for different shifts of the exam etc

And yes, with 180 marks with above predicted obc rank , you have good chances to get a seat in NIT, for example you have chances in

  • NIT Jalandar :- Computer Science and Engineering

  • NIT Raipur :- Computer Science and Engineering

And  more

For this you can refer to our page for which link is provided below:-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/nits-cutoff-for-top-btech-branches

Above prediction of colleges is on the basis of past year data but  cut off/closing rank for colleges keeps changing every year depending upon many factors like number of students that appeared in the examination etc so

to have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below

Will the rank for jee mains feb given according to shift wise or it will be for total feb attempt.

Anurag Khanna 28th Feb, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

See the rank will not be calculated shift wise, because you are going to get your rank in your final result which will be released after all attempts of JEE-Main 2021 around May end. For now you are going to get only your percentile after each attempt. Your rank will be calculated on the basis of best percentile of four attempts if you are going to attempt the JEE-Main 2021 for all four sessions , if you are going to appear/appeared for only one session then your rank will be totally based on the percentile secured by you.

For February session of JEE-Main 2021, result is expected by March 7th.
