why Mostly Btech colleges of NCR is registering for management quota seats demanding advance full year fees though JEE mains result is yet to come and cbse 10+2 is also not declared ??

Atul Singh 26th Jul, 2021

Dear Student,

There are too much college in the region of Ghaziabad and Noida who is affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow, they don't take admission through JEE mains but a separate exam for Uttar Pradesh only. This year AKTU has changes the name of his entrance exam UPSEE to UPCET, so you have to register for this application to get the seat in these college without giving donation.

In private AKTU colleges 15% seats are reserved for the management quota but as these college are at very large number so mostly seats are vacant even after counselling so they have to fill those seats with the management quota only. If you go to any top college to get admission in CDE/IT then definitely they will ask you for the donation, and should know know that the admission process in these college are already started with the management quota only and for the counselling session you need to wait for the further notice.

Best of Luck!!!

can I take admission in jec Jabalpur by my jee mains result which is 47 percentile in march & Im a st category student ?

Harsha Sinha 2nd Sep, 2021

Hi there,

Although you belong to st category and with your percentile you may get a chance to appear in the advance examinations but your rank wouldn't be sufficient to confirme a seat at your proffered college. You might get a seat but it's not sure.

There are other colleges where you can get a seat you can use our college predictor tool to find out those colleges.

Which is better option: B.Arch in NIT or B.E in private colleges in Bangalore.

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 3rd Apr, 2021

hi,

see b,arch and b.e are two different course. b.arch is for architecture and drawing blend with theoretical and practical impact of architecture. where engineering course has different stream and will be four years duration. engineering is the application subjects of physics and mathematics. so you must decide which of the course you would like to pursue.  nits are better option than a private college because of the course curriculum, academics, college life, placement and infrastructure. however in case you have little interest for b.arch, then try to take admission in tier 1 private college, where placement is good.

hope you understand.

I got 60.33 score in jee mains February session.I belong to Sc and from Tamilnadu. How much rank I need get admission in NIT Trichy or other NITs.Please answer my question.

Subhrajit Mukherjee 10th Mar, 2021

With 60.33 percentile you can expect ranks of around 405824 - 456205 which you know is insufficient for NIT's.

Now if you see the past year trends, then NIT Trichy ranks for Computer Science[as per 2019 data] (as most student aspire CSE, I am considering it since you didn't provided any preferences):

Home State Quota:

Male - 1300

Female: 1435

For other states:

Male - 138

Female - 420

These are the category ranks. Now to get such a SC rank you should have to improve your performance above 85 percentile at least.

For other branches you can check the link provided below:

my jee mains score is 36.534 whats my marks?

Sharon Rose Student Expert 10th Mar, 2021

Hello,

JEE Main results are given in terms of NTA score/percentile. It is difficult to indicate the exact marks with the given percentile because percentile is that percentage of candidates who have scored equal or less marks than you and it depends on number of candidates appeared, marks scored in individual subjects, tie breakers, normalized score, highest score etc. Taking into consideration the percentile vs marks trends of previous year you might have score in between 21-26 marks in JEE Main. To check the JEE Main percentile vs Marks trend use the link below

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

You have not mentioned your category assuming that you belong to general category it is very difficult to qualify in JEE Main with such percentile. You need to score minimum 90-95 percentile to qualify. The qualifying cut off percentile for JEE Main 2020 was as follows

  • General:90.3765335
  • OBC-NCL:72.8887969
  • EWS:70.2435518
  • SC:50.1760245
  • ST:39.0696101
  • PWD:0.0618524

The cut off percentile is subjected to change every year depending on number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of exam and number of seats available etc. We would suggest you to prepare for JEE Main upcoming sessions and try to score minimum 190-210 marks if you belong to general category and if you belong to reserved category you need to score minimum 90-160 marks to have decent chances of getting seat in a decent college.
