I got 94.96 percentile in jee mains feb attempt. I am OBC-NCL candidate from bihar. Can i get admission into any branch of any NITs with this percentile.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 28th Mar, 2021

Hi

With  94.96 percentile

Your obc rank will be around 15,000.

With this OBC rank you do some have chances in some lower  NITs.

For example,

NIT Nagaland is one of the lower NITs and in 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 closing rank for obc category was  15340 obc rank and it was for Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering under other state quota

You can verify the above at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Above prediction of is on the basis of past year data but  cut off/closing rank for colleges keeps changing every year depending upon many factors like number of students that appeared in the examination, difficulty level of the JEE main question paper for different shifts etc

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below

Hello I want to ask whether the NTA score in jee result depends upon individual percentiles in each subject? For example; If i attempt only chemistry and physics section and leave the maths section completely, will i get good NTA score assuming that i have done chemistry and physics paper very well?

snigdha vig 25th Mar, 2021

Hi,

The final NTA percentile depends on the complete score score and not on the individual subjects. You can get a good percentile if you attempt only  physics and chemistry but it best to focus on all three subjects and try to attempt them properly as it will increase your chances to get a good score.

I hope this helped you.

i attempted 33 total questions in JEE Main 16th March(Slot 1) out of which I score 12 correct and 5 wrong including 2 integer type from chemistry 9 correct and 5 wrong including 3 integer type from physics However I didnt even touched Maths(Weak) what Approximate percentile will I get with EWS??

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 19th Mar, 2021

hi,

according to jee main 2021 marking scheme, for mcq type questions 4 marks would be awarded, for wrong answer 1 marks would be deducted. now coming to numeric value problem there is no negative marking. based on your performance ,

your chemistry correct answer score= 12*4= 48.

negative marking in chemistry= 3*1+2*0(numeric type question.)= 3

your physics score= 9*4= 36

negative marking in physics= 2*1+3*0 = 2

so total score is (48+36)- (3+2)= 79

however you may calculate your overall percentile and rank from below link:

i completed physics and chemistry from NCERT and i knew every question - answer then what will be my JEE result please help

AnkiT KunwaR 16th Mar, 2021
Hello,

NCERT builds base and it is very important for JEE preparation but relying only on NCERT will not help you to fetch good marks in JEE mains. Because questions in JEE mains are very high level and very twisted and for solving those questions only NCERT will not help. You will have to move to some advanced books like HC Verma and DC Pandey for physics.
Modern Approach to Chemical Calculations by R.C. Mukherjee, Organic Chemistry by O P Tandon, Concept of Physical Chemistry by P Bahadur for Chemistry.
Objective Mathematics by R D Sharma, Complete mathematics for JEE Main TMH for Mathematics. You can get list of entire books that needs to be referred and you have to cover the books which I have listed at least to get good marks.

gourik13012001 8th Oct, 2020

Hi,

It’s difficult to tell you the exact about your admission possibilities but as per the previous year cut off as a general category the chance seems less to get a seat in NITs, IIITs & GFTIs however you can try for state counselling like Punjab, Haryana, MP, Etc.

To know your admission chances in JOSSA & State counselling you can use JEE Main college Predictor tool.
