The answer to your question is NO. Mobile phones are strictly prohibited in JNV.

But a student is allowed to make calls from STDs setup in their school campus. Also teachers of JNV are very helpful and lend you their phones in case of any emergency.

For class 9 admission is given through lateral entry.To appear in this test you should have following eligibility-

1)Only studentss who have studied in Class 8in one of the Govt./Govt. recognised schools of the district where the JNV is functioning can seek admission in Class-IX.

2)You must be between the age group 13-16 years on 1st May of the year of admission for which the Selection Test is conducted.

The test will be of 100 marks with 15 marks for english ,15 for hindi,35 for maths and 35 for science and total time given is 3 hours.Qyestions of class 8 standard will be asked in test.

You can apply for standard 11 admissions to JNV till 26th of August, 2021. The admission process has started from 9th August, 2021. You need to visit the official website of the institution, register yourself, then apply for 11th standard in any stream you want by providing all the details & the documents required.
