Hello Dear,
The Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. is an admission test conducted every year for admission into Master of Science and other post-graduate science programs at the Indian Institutes of Technology. The cutoff of IIT JAM specifies the minimum rank a candidate needs to obtain for qualifying to the next rounds of admission.
It varies according to the level of paper. The IIT JAM cutoff will depend on various factors such as-number of applicants, difficulty level of question paper etc. The cutoff will consist of the name of the candidates, category and minimum qualifying marks.
Good Luck
Hello student,
The basic eligibility criteria for candidates applying for IIT JAM is that the candidate must have a bachelor's degree as a qualifying examination degree in a relevant subject as per the preference of subject in which the candidate is applying.
Also, the minimum marks should be 55% aggregate marks or 5.5 CGPA out of 10 in all the subjects in the qualifying examination.
I hope your query is solved. Thank you.
hey!
If you do not submit your category certificate ( EWS certificate ) during the counselling process : document verification , then you will be automatically considered as a general category candidate. But if you submit th ecategory certificate then you will get benefits of being an EWS candidate.
Thankyou
Hi.
Total number of applicants for IIT JAM are about 84000 in 2019 and about 60000 in 2020. The number of students applying for Biotechnology Seats is somewhat lesser than the total number as there are only 91 seats available under Biotechnology, all over India. There is no official number provided for students exclusively appearing for Biotechnology seats.
I hope this answers your query.
