Yes, you can apply for and give IIT JAM Exam if you have biology stream as IIT JAM offers M.Sc. programmes in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Geology, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics and Physics. So, you can apply for the Chemistry, Biotechnology and Physics programmes.

IIT JAM is a joint Admission test for msc at all india level conducted by Indian Institute of Technology (IITS), its an online entrance exam conducted every year on a rotatinal basis on behalf of ministry of human resources development(MHRD), Govt, of India.
There are seven objective-type test papers in IIT jam are-
Chemistry, physics, mathematics, geology, Biological sciences, Mathematical statistics, Biotechnology.
Eligibility criteria of this exam is to hold bachelor's degree (Bsc) with minimum aggregate of 55%, There is no age limit to appear in this exam.

see indian space research institute and defense research and development institute is prominent organization in india. however every year there is various recruitment comes through isro and drdo. the organization conducts written test of mcq type generally based on the work position. the recruitment process and written test and personal Interview rounds.
however it is not possibly say about which year recruitment would comes for geology professional. so it would be best for you if you get any job in iits placement.

Yes you can. Many vacancies for Junior research fellow in projects are out in ISRO which demands MSc in geology. Apart if you are good at GIS or Remote sensing concepts and Software for data analysis its an added advantage for you. Vacancies for same are released on the official website of isro, you can check it there.

You wanted to get seat for the course bsc hons and its a 3 year degree and in the entrance exam IIT jam you should get more than 55 percent of the marks so that you may get seat in good colleges and comparatively presidency college is the best college and have good ranking too and belur and jadavpur also have good rating but presidency college is good compared to three and if have reservations its fine you make task very simple but to get in that colleges you must get above 55 percent marks study well and work hard .All the best. see iits is the best institute in india for pursuing master of science course in biotechnology, however apart from iits there is several reputed institute in india which offers msc courses in biotechnology or equivalent discipline, I have mentioned some of the entrance exam name below conducts by the institute,

IIT JAM is a Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (JAM) conducted by Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. This is a computer based exam which is given to take admission in M.Sc. (Two Years), Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, Post-UG Degrees Programmes at the IITs and Integrated PhD Degree Programmes at IISc. This is a national level exam with 3 hours of duration. 20 IITs and IISC offer admissions through JAM with a total of 2445 seats.

see iits does not disclose the marks obtained by the students in iit jam exam. however you may know about the toppers percentile or score from different coaching institute. again it depends on which of the stream the candidates belongs to. iit jam exam is the entrance test of msc, integrated msc phd courses. however cutoff scores changes every year and rank varies with the number of applicants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, students category etc.
however to achieve a decent score you have to score 80% of the total score.

From 2019 the iit jam biological sciences paper has been discontinued. So as of now there is no biological sciences paper included in iit jam exam.
