is cengage learning chemistry books for jee advanced are sufficient for iit jam chemistry paper ?

Mayank Chowdhary 10th Jun, 2020

Yes Cengage is a very decent book as far as chemistry concepts are concerned. One cannot guarantee whether a book is sufficient or not. Because when you appear for competitive entrance exams, the more you do, the more you get. But yes, as per your question, it's decent enough to refer cengage book and solve it's mcqs as well for the IIT jam chemistry paper. If you get more time, then do solve books like Arihant or Pradeep as well.

Thank you. Best wishes.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 1st Jun, 2020

Hi

No, your marks in 10+2 or HS is not taken in account for IIT JAM eligibility

To be eligible for IIT JAM examination for MSc physics you need to hace studied  Physics for at least two years or four semesters and Mathematics for at least one year or two semesters in your graduation  and must have got at least 55% or 5.5 CGPA in your graduation if you belong to general or obc category and at least 50% or 5 CGPA in your graduation if you belong to Sc or St category. Sir, my question is- In IIT JAM eligibility criteria, only B.Sc. marks are considered or they also check H.S. marks ?? And what is the eligibility criteria for IIT JAM ??

S. Saha Student Expert 1st Jun, 2020
The basic criteria is that the candidate should have passed Bachelor's degree with minimum of 55% aggregate scored in the last qualifying degree or 5.5 CGPA scored out of 10, for general category. So the graduation marks are taken into consideration. There is no minimum percentage required in class 12 for being eligible for appearing the IIT JAM examination. But there are certain criteria regarding compulsory subjects which you must have in your 10+2. And also the eligibility criteria differs from one course to other. So can you help us with the course that you want to appear for?

Who is the Best educator for IIT JAM MATHEMATICS?

Mayank Chowdhary 31st May, 2020

There will be many average to best tutors and classes available that I can enlist down and I surely will. But more than them, it depends on the student, how dedicated and devoted he is to achieve his dreams and goal. So you need to have a very proper schedule being followed every single day if you want to crack the exam. So some of the well known tutors are -

  1. Aritra Roy (Msc Mathematics) and the classes name is TeacherOn.
  2. Unacademy has also proved to be good as per the toppers reviews.
  3. Edurev
  4. Eduncle
  5. VPM Classes

Best wishes. Thank you.
