Joint Admission Test for M.Sc Programmes
Hi
To be eligible for IIT JAM examination for MSc mathematics one must have Mathematics for at least two years/four semesters in graduation
and must have got at least 55% aggregate scored in your graduation or 5.5 CGPA if you belong to general / obc category . If you belong to sc or st category then you must have got at least 50% aggregate scored in your graduation or 5 CGPA.
If you fulfill this criteria then you are eligible for IIT JAM examination for msc mathematics.

It doesn't depends upon your branch it depends upon the subject you studied and your privious degree score .
For MSc in physics eligibility criteria is if you have scored more than 55% or 5.5 CGPA and 50% or 5 CGPA (for SC/ST category) in your privious degree and have studied physics for 2 years or 4 semester and maths for 1 year or 2 semester then you are eligible if not then not .

in generally students who have studied bsc courses on physics atleast of duration of 3 years and have studied mathematics as a subject in 10+2 course are eligible to apply for msc in physics course, now according to jam 2020 criteria, students who have studied Physics for at least two years/four semesters and Mathematics for at least one year/two semesters in graduation are eligible to apply in iit jam exam. follow the below link to know in details,

Yes, you can appear in the IIT JAM Exam. As per the Eligibility criteria for Geology subject in IIT JAM 2018, your graduation must fulfill the following statement:
“The graduation degree must have Geology for three years/six semesters and any two subjects among Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biological Science”
And as per my knowledge, your degree do fulfill the above statement.
