For Atomic and Molecular Structure Theory of Gases, you can try Physical Chemistry–Peter W. Atkins or Physical Chemistry–Puri, Sharma, Pathania
For Chemical Thermodynamics, you can try Physical Chemistry–Thomas Engel & Phillip Reid
And Basic Physical Chemistry–Peter W. Atkins.

The iit syllabus is based upon the higher secondary syllabus .

Physics (PH): Mathematical Methods, Mechanics and General Properties of Matter, Oscillations, Waves and Optics, Electricity and Magnetism, kinetic theory, Thermodynamics, Modern Physics, solid State Physics, Devices and Electronics, Simple Oscillators.

So earlier HBTU was HBTI Under AKTU. But from past 2 years they have been taking admissions through JEE Mains. So I assume it's your JEE Rank. So I have check For an Idea and somewhat in General cutoff it requires nearly less then. 40K Rank in general.

Can I give iit jam for biotechnology even if I didnt take maths in 12 standard

Hi Jayshree,

You can do M.Sc. in  Biotechnology at IITI(IIT Indore) with No Restrictions at the subjects you took in class 12. However, for other IITs(IITB/IITR), you need mathematics as a compulsory subject.

Yes definitely you can appear for joint admission for M. Sc as chemistry as your main subject. You don't have to worry about the fact that you belong to PCB in your class 12th, many student appears every year with chemistry having pcb as background.

The eligibility criteria for IIT JAM is a bachelor's degree with minimum 55% for OBC and general candidates and a minimum of 50% for SC or St candidates there is no eligibility criteria for class 12th so it does not matter whether you have done your class 12th with
