In JEE Mains, when two or more candidates obtain equal Percentile Scores then tie breaker wouldl be as follows

  • Candidates who obtain high Percentile Score in Mathematics will be ranked higher.
  • If percentile of Maths is same then , Candidates who obtain higher Percentile Score in Physics will be

Hello Chaithanya. Welcome to Careers360. I would suggest you to go for second attempt which will be held in the month of April. The expected cutoff to appear for JEE Advanced is 85 percentile. You still have a chance of improving your percentile and qualify for advanced. Hope this answer

To get admission in any of the good institutes, you need to appear for the JEE Mains April exam session as your percentile score of January exam is too low. With such less percentile score you cannot get admission anywhere.

Hello Kiran

For IIT Bombay you should clear the cutt off in JEE advance with good rank.This 85 percentile is only for mains then if you qualify for advance then you should secure good rank in JEE advance to get  IIT bombay.
