If you qualify for Jee advance then you should give as if you score high in jee advance you would get admissions in top IIT colleges in India.Prepare hard and do appear for the exam and even if you don't qualify after giving jee advance,your jee mains marks would be

Well it will depend upon you, what you choose.
But taking any branch in IIT in which you are not interested will affect your academic progress . I think it would be better to choose NIT with a good branch and study well.

Yes, but for the boards eligibility criteria. For NIT you have to qualify JEE Main and for IIT you have to qualify JEE Advance.

You can use the JEE College Predictor for getting admission in NIT, IIIT or GFTI

No you are not eligible because you need to score minimum 75% in 12th class to become eligible for JEE advance and to get admission in any iit or nit.
