Joint Entrance Exam Advanced
According to the eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced, the candidates must have appeared in Class 12th and scored 75% aggregate marks. For the first time, you appeared in the CBSE Class 12 board exam in 2024, and in 2025, you appeared in the 12th examination from the NIOS board and scored 75%. Since NIOS is a recognised board, and you fulfil the aggregate marks, you are eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2026 .
CMR Institute of Technology (CMRIT) in Bangalore is a well-known college, especially for courses like Computer Science (CSE) and Information Science (ISE). Students say the teachers are helpful, and the campus has good labs, sports facilities, and a clean environment. The college conducts many workshops and training programs to help students get ready for jobs.
Most students from CSE and ISE branches get placed in companies like TCS, Wipro, Deloitte, and Sony. Placement training is good, and the college provides mock interviews and soft skill classes. Some students from branches like ECE feel that placements are not as strong for them, but those with good skills still get jobs.
There are many student clubs and events like cultural fests and coding competitions. The college is strict with attendance, and classes run from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Some students feel the rules are a bit tight, but others believe it helps in maintaining discipline.
In short, CMRIT is a good choice if you are looking for a college with strong academics, placement support, and a structured environment. It’s best for students who are serious about their career in technology.

Thank you !
For SC category, to get admission in MNNIT Allahabad , you should aim for a JEE Main rank around 6000 to 7000.
For top branches like CSE, a better rank is needed (around 2000–3000). Cutoffs may vary slightly every year.
Hope it helps !
With an All India Rank (AIR) of 232619 in NEET 2025, securing a government MBBS seat in Assam, especially under the North East quota, is highly unlikely. For MBBS, the competition is intense, and government colleges typically have cutoffs much higher than your rank. However, there's a slightly better chance with BAMS or veterinary seats, but it still depends on the specific college and category.
Dear student, If you're planning to pursue a B.A. (Hons) in Political Science , some of the best options in India include top Delhi University colleges like Hindu , LSR , Miranda House , Ramjas , and Kirori Mal , all known for strong academics and vibrant campus life. Congratulations on your performance in both JEE Main and JEE Advanced. With a JEE Main rank of around 11,200, you stand a decent chance of getting branches like CSE (in newer IIITs), ECE, Mechanical, or related streams in NITs such as NIT Calicut, NIT Nagpur, and NIT Rourkela, depending on your category and home state. Your JEE Advanced rank of 8,700 may fetch you seats in some of the newer IITs or less core branches in older ones like IIT BHU or IIT ISM Dhanbad.
If you're unsure about which college or branch to choose, it’s a good idea to first make a list of your priorities—like your preferred branch, location, research or placement focus—and then look at previous year cutoffs for those colleges. You can also use college predictors based on your rank to get a clearer idea of your options.
Hope this helps you take the next step confidently. All the best for your counselling and future journey.
dear student,
At an SC rank of 4276 in JEE Advanced , getting into older IITs (like Bombay, Delhi, Madras, Kanpur) isn’t possible — even for less popular branches, these usually close below SC rank 2000–2500.
But you still have good chances in newer IITs and IIT (ISM) Dhanbad , especially for core branches like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical , and a few interdisciplinary programs. like:
IIT Bhilai – Civil, Mechanical, Electrical
IIT Jammu – Civil, Mechanical, Chemical
IIT Dharwad – Civil, Mechanical
IIT Goa – Mechanical, possibly Civil in later rounds
IIT Palakkad / Tirupati – Civil, Mechanical
IIT ISM Dhanbad – Mining, Petroleum, Environmental, Civil, Interdisciplinary
IIT Jodhpur – Sometimes Civil or lesser opted branches
These options mostly open up in later JoSAA rounds , and availability may vary slightly year to year.
In JEE Advanced , the OBC-NCL women's rank is typically lower than the overall OBC-NCL rank. If a candidate's overall OBC-NCL rank is 11051 , their rank within the OBC-NCL women category could be around 1051 - 2105 depending on the number of women candidates in that category.
Thank you!!
