It would be difficult to tell you about JEE Advanced exam dates as there is no any official announcement regarding this. I would suggest you to focus on class 11th & 12th syllabus & try to clear concept with NCERT books.

No log books are not allowed to take with you. They also won't give log books but Don't be panic questions will be provided with log values or antilog values  or else just remember log and antilog values of common figures like 2,3,5,7 etc
