I gave 6 subjects in CBSE and got RT in Phy and Chem. I am planning on replacing Phy and appear for Chem compartment this year. Can I give improvement exam on Phy next year? I am also a JEE aspirant, so will there be any issues in JoSAA?

Samyak Jain 19th May, 2026

Devika Malik 20th May, 2026

Hey,

44 percentile mein IITs ya top NITs milna realistically possible nahi hota, but still tumhare paas kaafi decent private college options hain.

Tum yeh colleges try kar sakte ho:
• Lovely Professional University
• Amity University
• Sharda University
• Chitkara University

my jeemains rank is 211457 category obc ncl (female) from up . can I get government college? at my rank which college should I choose

Samyak Jain 19th May, 2026

Hello Dear Student,

With a JEE Main rank of 2,11,457 and OBC-NCL Female category (UP) , getting top government colleges like NITs or IIITs for core B.Tech branches through JoSAA counselling can be very difficult.

However, you may still have chances in:

  • lower-demand branches,
  • newer institutes, or
  • state/private engineering colleges

I have a rt in one subject and compartment is showing in my result and as i want to appear for jee my 75% criteria is also not completing so should I reappear for the CBSE exam next year or take admission in NIOS and give on demand exam pls tell.

Samyak Jain 19th May, 2026

Hello Dear Student,

To clear your compartment and satisfy the 75% eligibility criteria for JEE , appearing again in the CBSE exam as a private candidate next year is generally the safest option.

While NIOS On-Demand Exams are accepted for JEE, mixing a partial CBSE marksheet with a NIOS marksheet
