I got 91.8 percentile in jee paper 2, my SC Category Rank is 612 n CRL Rank is 12207 ,I m from maharashtra,Which college I ll get through JOSAA n DTE maharashtra Counselling?

Abhishek Roy 6th Oct, 2020

Firstly Congratulations on your JEE Main result.

Having a SC Category Rank of 612, will ensure any any of the three circuital branches, CSE, EE or ECE at NIT Nagpur ( Home State Quota), through JOSAA Counselling. If distance is not a concern, you can perhaps choose Circuital Branches at NIT Trichy, Warangal, Surathkal or Calicut.

As far as Maharashtra DTE Counselling is Concerned a CRL of 12207 and SC Rank of 612 in JEE Main will guarantee you a seat in either of College of Engineering Pune or VJTI Mumbai in any of the top branches. If you are interested in Chemical Sciences do give a thought to ICT Mumbai.

Is it true that those who fill/lock choices early in JOSAA gets preference to those who fill/lock choices late? JOSAA registration starts from 6th October. will it affect my chances if I fill the choices on,say 9th October?

Mrinalini Sarkar 6th Oct, 2020

Hello,

So, I do not think there is any such preferences to those who fill choices early as admissions are done on the basis of Merit. Although there is one thing that those who fill choices early can change if they get a better choice otherwise there is no such preference.

Good luck.

My JEE mains 2020 AIR is 275000. Can I apply for Josaa

Mrinalini Sarkar 6th Oct, 2020

Hello candidate,

According to eligibility criteria for Josaa all the candidates those who qualified JEE Mains and Advance can apply for the further counselling procedure. If you have qualified then only you can apply for Josaa. As per the previous years cutoffs and your mentioned result I am not sure if you will be eligible for Josaa. Even if you qualified then also getting a good college is difficult as the ranking are getting even more difficult to achieve.

Good luck.
