Float means - you have accepted the seat but you want a higher preference branch in other institutes in further counselling rounds. If you got allotted a higher or upgraded seat then you can take it, and your previously alloted seat will be forfeited.

I have already registered and filled up choice filling in JoSAA 2020. But in spite of several attempt I cant able to register and filling choices in CSAB 2020. How I know whether I choose special round counselling at the time of register/filling up in JoSAA 2020

Well, CSAB 2020 registration is not started yet, it's probability of registration opening is after 7th November, 2020 i.e. after the josaa final round of counselling. It's process is same as the josaa. So, keep checking csab.nic.in official site for any update in future...

I got a seat in 1st round of Josaa and properly completed all the after processes required. Now in the 2nd round I didnt got any new seat i.e. my previous seat continues. Do I have to submit the willingness in this round too or by default it takes acount my previous willingness?

Dear student,

You can change your willingnesswithinany given round. At the end of each round, your willingness will be recorded and used for the next round of Seat Allocation.

Here are the rules for changing the willingness :-

Hi Vamishi Gaud,

If you have chosen a seat in second round and have kept it on hold, you can confirm that seat by choosing freeze option. Once you freeze the seat, that particular seat will be allocated to you. Note that, once you have frozen the seat, you cannot

First of all congratulations on securing 1148 obc ncl category rank in JEE mains paper 2. Now it's quite surprising that Till round two you haven't got any seat in any NITs for Architecture course.

After every round of counselling, josaa will display the vacant seats left before every next round counselling on it's official site.
Also there is a seat matrix issued by josaa so that students get to know that how many seats are available in the institutes.

The latest criteria declared by the JoSAA Authority are to be considered during admission process. Top 20 percentile criteria means the candidate has to overtake 80% students to be among top 20 percentile. It changes every year as the performance and question level changes.

Dear student,

If you got a seat in josaa counselling, then you will have the option to freeze, float or slide.
You can use this option only for one time. If you choose to float your seat then it will remain in floated position untill you get a higher preference
