Can i change my course i have got admission in biomedical engineering i am facing problem as i was not having maths in my hsc

Abhishek Roy Student Expert 30th Aug, 2019

Hey!There

If you want change in stream in same College in which you are studying right now, then you can't change your stream and if possible then you can change stream after 1sy year and swapping will be based on your 1st semester results...Branch swapping facilities is not available in every College and for biomedical engineering nothing can be said..So it will be better for you if you will change College and take admission in other stream whatever you want...

Ask if any query..

GOOD LUCK!

Rajashree Khandelia 24th Aug, 2019

Hello Aspirant

Congratulations for your rank. With you rank, your cahnces of gettign admission in CEG Campus for M.E. Biomedical Engineering is less. But don't worry. You may try other colleges as well. Also the cutoffs depend on the paper difficulty level, no. of students appearing for the exam and counselling and also the no of seats available for a branch in the college. So cutoffs vary every year.

Sit for the counselling and try your luck. Hope you get your desired seat.

Hope it helps you.

Is there any job opportunities for B.TECH BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING IN UAE AND QATAR

akshaevelin27_9770651 Student Expert 15th Aug, 2019

Hello aspirant,

The Saudia Arabian Surgeons, as I have read are the best trained in the greater Arab world, biomedical backgrounds could help you and others in this emerging area of science to together utilize diplomatic connections to the Saudi Crown in order to create alternative economic options for the kingdom that is currently looking to diversify income beyond an economy based on 90% petroleum products and services.

You never know, Israel a leading biomedical country alongside the US would gladly pay the minimalist fees to hedge their bets more fruitfully outside Malaysia Germany and Singapore.

It would likely first take a dedicated group of engineers to assemble and then research how they would diplomatically open a channel to the Saudi Royal Family.

Hope this will be helpful...

JOB OPPURTUNITIES AFTER B.TECH BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING

akshaevelin27_9770651 Student Expert 14th Aug, 2019

Job Scope after B.Tech Biomedical Engineering

  1. R&D- Generally the R&D companies hire employees through campus placements from a small group of colleges. Good luck for that. The health tech industry in Andhra & Telangana is a bright prospect in future when it comes to R&D opportunities.
  2. Service- The job i am currently in. You get to learn a lot about the internal functioning of various medical devices. There are plenty of learning opportunities, trainings. The happiness you get after indirectly saving a life can't be measured. You'll be nervous at start but with right guidance service is the most satisfying job.
  3. Application engineer- The role of an application engineer is to explain to customer about the working of a specific medical device. Application engineers work hand to hand with sales team.
  4. Sales engineer- Sales of medical equipment are handled by the sales engineer. They have targets as well as incentives so it's a double edged sword.
  5. Hospital engineer- Every big hospital has a Biomedical department in which there are typically 5–6 engineers who are responsible to attend to emergency breakdown of any medical equipment.

There are various areas in which a Biomedical engineer can work. The salary at start is not appropriate for some posts but then again if you work hard & have right skills you can land a good job just after graduation. Don't get demotivated by people who say that Biomedical has no scope, or it's only about research. More than 75% of Biomedical jobs are occupied by electronics engineer just because talented Biomedical engineers switch their fields after graduation.

Hope this will be helpful..

Yash Vardhan Singh 30th Jul, 2019

Hello Khushi,

I'll suggest you to choose Biomedical engineering rather than going for physiotherapy. As physiotherapy has not much scope nowadays and Biomedical engineering is an emerging branch with lots of career options both in India and in foreign countries.

Hope this helps.

Good luck!!
