There are various colleges available for your rank like BMS Institute of Technology, Dayanand Sagar Academy of Technology etc. But AI/ML is a very high in demand branch which is very competitive so, getting a top tier college is difficult. As of KCET Round 1 Cutoff 2024 for M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT) – Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI & ML), the cutoff ranks for the General category were approximately :

GM (General Merit): 2680 to 2800

GMK (General Kannada): 5500

SC/ST/OBC categories: Ranged from 5,000 to 15,000 depending on the sub-category.

If you didn’t get a medical or dental rank but your verification slip shows a rank, that rank is for engineering through KCET. Medical and dental ranks are based on NEET scores. If you didn’t submit your NEET score or didn’t qualify NEET, you won’t get a medical rank. You can go ahead with option entry for engineering or other KCET courses.

With a KCET rank of 1,65,000, getting Mechanical Engineering at PES College of Engineering, Mandya is very unlikely in the earlier rounds. In recent years, the cutoff for Mechanical has usually closed around 1,30,000 to 1,40,000 in Round 1, and in some cases extended beyond 1,60,000 in Round 2 or casual vacancy rounds, depending on the category and seat availability.
