Karnataka Common Entrance Test
Dear Aspirant,
With a rank of 158627, getting a seat in BSc agriculture and it related courses in government or reputed colleges in Karnataka is unlikely, especially for unreserved category. Government quota seats in BSc Agriculture are highly competitive and often close before 80,000 rank, especially in popular colleges like UAS Bangalore, Dharwad, Raichur, and Shivamogga. For reserved categories ranks up to 1.2–1.5 lakh may get a chance in less preferred colleges or private institutions.
What you should do is to participate in the counselling. You might get a seat in the later rounds, or you should look for other related courses such as B.Sc. Agri Marketing & Cooperation, B.Sc. Forestry, B.Tech Food Technology etc.

These are the Government Colleges which offer the Course Pharm.D Course in Karnataka through KCET:
1. Government College of Pharmacy, Bengaluru
2. Government College of Pharmacy, Mysuru
3. Government College of Pharmacy, Kalaburagi (Gulbarga)
The cutoff of these colleges are relatively low as compared to medical courses, but the seats are also limited. So plan accordingly.
Hope this helps. Thank You!!!

Hello,
With a KCET rank of 2.5 lakh and applying under the HK (Hyderabad-Karnataka) quota has a good chance of securing a seat in various colleges, particularly in the Hyderabad-Karnataka region.
Government colleges generally have higher cutoffs than private colleges, but the HK quota can make a difference.
Certain branches of engineering (like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) might have lower cutoffs compared to Computer Science or Electronics and Communication.
You can check the official KCET website and college websites for detailed cutoff information for specific colleges and branches.
Read the article below to understand the college wise cutoffs:

Thank you!!

With a KCET veterinary rank of around 17,000 in the OBC 3A category and under the SNQ quota , your chances of getting a B.V.Sc seat in a government veterinary college in Karnataka are very low . Recent cutoffs for OBC 3A category in government colleges usually close below 8,000 ranks . You can consider private veterinary colleges , participate in all counselling rounds , and explore related courses like B.Sc in Animal Husbandry or Allied Sciences.
With a KCET rank of around 1,90,000, getting into CSE or ECE branches at top-tier Karnataka colleges isn't realistic, as institutions like RVCE, BMSCE, PES, and MSRIT close their CSE seats within the top ~8,000-10,000 ranks. Instead, you should aim for private or newer colleges that admit candidates with ranks above 1,00,000. For instance, colleges such as Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (civil/mechanical), S.K.S.J.T. Institute of Engineering & Technology, Rajeev Institute of Technology (offering CSE/ECE), Vidya Vikas Institute of Engineering & Technology, and Malnad College of Engineering typically accept students within the 1,00,000-1,50,000 range. While CSE streams might still be competitive, you're likely to secure seats in branches like ECE, EEE, or Civil in these colleges. So, at your rank focus on tier-2 and tier-3 private engineering colleges in Karnataka they also offer decent academics and reasonable placement support.
In Karnataka, there are some private aided engineering colleges where you can get admission through KCET. These colleges get some support from the government, so their fees are lower than private unaided colleges.
Some well-known private aided colleges are:
BMS College of Engineering in Bengaluru. It is one of the oldest and top-ranked colleges.
Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology in Bengaluru. It offers many engineering branches and has good placements.
PES College of Engineering in Mandya. It is a popular choice among students and has strong academics.
SJCE (Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering) in Mysuru. It is a very reputed college and known for its quality education.
Malnad College of Engineering in Hassan. It offers good infrastructure and experienced faculty.
Basaveshwara Engineering College in Bagalkote and PDA College of Engineering in Gulbarga are also well-known aided colleges.
All these colleges accept KCET scores for admission and offer good teaching and placements.
