I have scored 608 in Neet I abode in kashmir. so which college in srinagar will b suitable for my score n ranking . I com under EWS category

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 6th Oct, 2020

Hi

It's quite difficult to predict that whether you will get  seat or not as  cut off marks for medical colleges keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.

But when we go through previous data then it suggests that with 608 marks you hold  a very good chance to get a seat in a Government Medical College in Srinagar

For example,
In Neet 2019, 539 marks  for general category got   a seat in  Government Medical College, Srinagar  under Jammu and Kashmir  state quota

You also have chances in :
*SKIMS Medical College, Srinagar
*Government Medical College, Jammu
*Government Medical College, Kathua

And  more

To get the complete list of colleges in which you have chances, you can go through our college predictor at

https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

It gives you a personalized report with top college in which you have chances for admission , with the help of predicted colleges you can make better choice while filling your choices of colleges during your counselling

Thankyou

I am from kashmir.i got 502 in neet uG 2020.i have ews category. Is there ny chance of getting seat in mbbs collage. Or any chance of private seat in ASCOMS

Dr.Chhavi Srivastava 1st Oct, 2020
Hi , jammu and kashmir has 100% state quota and as per the marks you have mentioned you have fair chances of getting a seat in government medical college under state quota as last year least marks to secure a seat from OM category under state quota was 476 in government medical college rajauri.
And in ASCOMS sidhra jammu was 489 .  You can present your ews certificate at the time of Counselling to avail it's benefits .
Remember cutoff varies every year depending on number of students appearing in exam, difficulty level of exam, students scoring more than you and your category.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 23rd Sep, 2020
Hi

I am extremely sorry to tell you dear but being a domicile a domicile of Jammu and Kashmir you cannot get into Aiims.

This is because,

Admission in AIIMS is through all India counselling but residents of Jammu and Kashmir are not eligible for participating in all India counselling for Government Medical Colleges and thus you cannot get into AIIMS.

Actually,
You are eligible to participate in all India counselling but only for deemed universities and not for government medical college like Aiims and others.

i am scoring 418 in neet 2020.is there any chance of admission in government medical colleges in kashmir?

Nandhini Student Expert 21st Oct, 2020

Hello student,

With a score of 418, if you belong to the general category, then there are less chances of getting a seat in the government medical colleges as the closing score was 470 for GMC, Rajouri when comparing the results of the past years, If you belong to any reserved category, you may have a chance in the government medical colleges.

Yet, ranks and scores vary each year depending on state quotas, difficulty level of the question paper and so on. However, you can also predict the colleges which you are likely to get using the below mentioned link:

Hello I m Expecting 440 marks Un Open merit. From jammu & Kashmir.. Is There any Possibility Of Getting Seat In Any Branch of medical course

Kuheli Sanyal 16th Oct, 2020

Hey,

With 440 marks, you may get a rank between 90825-99323. You can check it here https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-result-marks-vs-rank

Since you did not mention your category, I am assuming you are of general category.

Last year the cut off for medical colleges under 100% State Quota was 476 for general category. So based on this, it is difficult for you to get a medical seat under state quota. However, you can get a seat in Institute of Dental Sciences, Sephora, Jammu since previous year its cut off was 351.
