The Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences is among the premium colleges of Sikkim Manipal University. The college is beautifully made, combining Sikkims style with the modern style of architecture and spreading over 25 acres of green land. The institute offers all the facilities that are necessary for the student development. The institutes basic aim is to provide professionals who could look after the health facilities of the entire state.
Facilities and Infrastructure: The architecture is excellent, and the college spreads over 25 acres of land. The institute maintains an air of congeniality to encourage students academic activities. There are vast lecture halls and lecture theatres which are well equipped with all audio and visual aids to encourage student studies. The central library is very large consisting of a large number of journals and books. The library can facilitate 150 people in a single time. The Institute uses all modern aids like computers and internet to enhance the teaching ways. The auditorium is large enough to facilitate 750 people at a single time. The seminar hall has seat for 45, and the conference room is 42 seated. It provides hostel facilities to about 600 students. It is supplied with power and water throughout the day. The dining hall or the mess has a seat for 300 students. Other facilities in the hostel include badminton courts, internet facilities, television rooms, etc.
Faculty: The Institute has five departments which are headed by a strong headed faculty member. All the faculty members are people of great experience and have good qualifications to hold the post and impart good knowledge to their students.

Admission Process:

Candidates will have to first apply for NEET UG entrance exam.
After successfully qualifying the entrance exam, candidates will have to download and fill in the application form on the SMU website.
Candidates will have to pay an application fee of INR 600 using a demand draft or online payment methods.
After filling in the application form, candidates will have to submit the application form to the University.
Students will be selected based on the NEET scores. A merit list of the selected candidates will be made by the University.
Students will then have to visit Sikkim Manipal Institute Of Medical Sciences to submit the required documents and certificates.
All other admission formalities will be completed in the institute campus itself.

You need to mind that NEET is not important to CMC but you must write the exam and get Atleast 250+ after that they will conduct an exam which is really difficult you must score 95.00% in order to qualify
Totally cmc consist of 119 seats and they are divided in to many quotas
1. 89 seats for Christians
2. 4 or 5 seats for Hindus
3. 20 seats for the students whose parents is working in    cmc as a doctor or nurse or physiotherapist
4. Rest of the seat belongs to NRI candidate

• After the qualification of your exam they will conduct 5 rounds of interview and they use to filter 80% in this interview and rest are qualified for Mbbs
• They use to give preference of 70% in their exam and 30% in NEET exam

Nevertheless, looking at the previous year statistics, a seat inKMC MANGALORE for MBBS cannot be expected with a score of 220 marks in either category.
