My category is ews in keam engineering but in the trial allotment my seat type appears to be SM not as EW. What I have to do now? please help

Samyak Jain 8th Jul, 2026

Hello Dear Student,
Getting an SM (State Merit) seat type in the trial allotment instead of EW (Economically Weaker Section) is completely normal. CEE Kerala allots seats based on merit; since your rank qualified for an open, unreserved seat, you were allotted SM.

Hope it helps!

Samyak Jain 1st Jul, 2026

Hello Dear Student,
With a KEAM pharmacy rank of 5315, you have a solid chance of securing a seat in reputable B.Pharm self-financing colleges or government-aided institutions. Government colleges generally fill up much earlier (top ranks), so your strategy should focus on private and aided options.
