Students who are in class 12 can apply for SX stream in KVPY, provided they should have obtained 75% (65% for SC/ST/PWD) in class 10 in both Maths and Science and 60% (50% for reserved categories) in 12th class

  • Eligibility for Stream SX - Class XII Students with Science stream, who have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in Class XII boards and 80% in Class X boards, are eligible for the KVPY fellowship/scholarship programme. For SC/ST/PWD category candidates, a minimum of 50% marks

If you are pursuing class 12th then you will be eligible to apply for KVPY SX stream. As per the eligibility you must secure minimum 75% marks in class 10 while SC/ST/PwD candidates have scored 65% in aggregate of all Science subjects and Mathematics. You can check the further eligibility

Only currently enrolled students are allowed to appear for KVPY exam.

No according to my knowledge KVPY exam is only for scholarship to those students who are in class 11/12 or in the first year 1st year of any undergraduate Program in Basic Sciences namely B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./M.S. in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology having aptitude for scientific research..
