Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana Examination
Hi,
In Order to prepare for any PCM based Exam, first you have to study the basic books of Physics, chemistry and Mathematics. The basic book is NCERT. First, go through the NCERT, solve it's problem then go for some higher level books like HC Verma for Physics and others. Since you have studied for NEET also , the best thing to prepare for KVPY is also to solve previous years question.
I hope this will answer your query.
Thanks!!!!
Dear aspirant,
IISc-Bangalore is one of the best and most prestigious institute of India. It would be very good if you were able to get a seat in this institution.
As you enrolled in Akash for preparation it is good but self study is the key of success.
If you want to do UG in basic sciences in IISc you can get in by giving KVPY exam. Students enrolled in XII Standard (Science subjects) during the academic year and aspiring to join undergraduate program in Basic Sciences (B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S) can give this entrance exam.
If you want to do B.Tech in various fields from IISc you should appear for JEE Mains and qualify for JEE Advance. After appearing and scoring a very good marks in JEE Advance you can opt. to take admission in IISc.

Hello Aspirant,
Unfortunately you are not eligible for KVPY because you are first year of your Engineering course and engineering students are not allowed to sit for any stream of KVPY.
Eligibility criterion for KVPY say that :-
** The applying candidate should be studying in any of the class 11th, 12th or first year of UG program in Basic Science courses.
** Candidates applying for KVPY SA Stream (Class 11th) should have secured minimum aggregate of 75% (65% for SC/ST/PWD) in Mathematics and Science subjects in 10th Board Exams 2021
** Candidates applying for KVPY SX Stream(Class 12th) should have secured minimum aggregate of 75% (65% for SC/ST/PWD) in Mathematics and science subjects in class 10th exams.
** Candidates applying for KVPY SB Stream (1st year of an undergraduate program in Basic Sciences) should have secured minimum aggregate 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) in Mathematics and science subjects in class 12th exams.
So according to above eligibility criterion no engineering student is eligible for KVPY, only candidates who opted for basic science courses in their UG program can appear for KVPY SB stream.

Good Luck!!
The KVPY exam is not open to B.tech students. Enroll in the first year of a Basic Sciences undergraduate programme, which includes any among Physics, Chemistry, Math, and Biology. A bachelor's degree in technology is known as a B.tech. To apply for the SB stream at KVPY, one must be in their first year of study for a M.Sc./Int. B.Stat./B.Math./Int. B.Sc./B.S.
Students pursuing pure science courses, such as Bsc, or pupils in grades 11 and 12 who have completed PCM are eligible. If you wish to pursue research, you can take the GATE test and obtain a master's degree from a reputable institution such as IIT. From there, you can pursue research.
Hope it helped
Hi Aspirant,
Yes, you can write KVPY exam next year while studying your 11th standard. According to KVPY eligibility criteria , candidate who are studying 11,12, first of UG courses in basic science are eligible for KVPY SA, SB & SX respectively.

KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana) is a national level program for scholarships.
The eligibility criteria of KVPY 2021 is based on nationality, that is, only indians are eligible on first note.
Coming to the streams, there are 3 streams under KVPY exam which are SA, SX and SB which are based on your current educational level. Since you have mentioned 12th pass students, then SX is the stream. 12th pass students who get 60% in their board (general) and 50% for sc/sc are eligible for KVPY exam. And the condition for attempting KVPY sx after 12th is that the student should be pursuing basic science.
Thank you, Hope it helps.
