Yes, you are absolutely elligible to appear for the KVPY Exam if your Boards percentage is at exactly 75%, because the cutoff percentage for SC is 75 too which corresponds to the fact that one must score a percentage which is either equal to 75% or greater

Hi Arnab, 

If your question is if you can appear for KVPY after taking a drop year then the answer is yes, you can definitely do that. You can attend some other college meanwhile but you cannot pursue two different regular graduation courses at the same time.

Following is the eligibility criteria for a student to apply for KVPY fellowship under SX category 

  • Candidates studying in 10+2 can apply under this stream. They must score 60% in the 12th Board exam (50% for SC/ST/PwD candidates)
