Students can get admission in KCT through state entrance exam followed by the counselling. Students have to clear Kumarguru College of Technology Cutoff which states other states students are also eligible through the entrance exam . Also KCT Coimbatore provides admission in BE/B.tech courses through management Quota.

comparison between 2 colleges can be really confusing. but there are some key points you will have to remember before selecting are college for you. the year of establishment plays an important role. the older the college, the more experienced faculty. the location of this college, fee structure. and most importantly the placement rate.

• KUMARAGURU COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY: established in 1984 which is private/ autonomous. it is a full time classroom mode with overall ratings 4.8. fees for 2  years is around 1 lakh and median salary is 4 lakhs. accepted examination is TANCET, GATE . approved by AICTE
• COIMBATORE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY : established in 1956 which is public/gov, autonomous. full time classroom mode with 2.7 ratings. total fees 2.63 lakhs for 2 years and median salary is 3.36 lakhs . accepted examination is TANCET and it is approved by AICTE .

According to me, i feel you should go for KUMARAGURU COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY which has really good reviews.

All the 3 colleges are the good in their own way. But the most best one is Sri Krishna college of Engineering and Technology[SKECT]. Among these 3 colleges SKECT is the best college. This college has the best faculty and the faculty here is highly professional and highly talented. Every student gets placed at the time of placements. Mostly 92-95% students gets placed at the time of placements and also in this college they provide good training for placements. The highest salary package offered id 18 lakhs per annum. And the average salary package offered is 4.5 lakhs per annum. And this college is very best in all the categories. So I suggest you to opt SKECT.

KCT being an autonomous college, it offers admit to students in one of the few ways mentioned below:

1. Engineering Councelling: Through anna-university councelling conducted every year, based on the rank and cut-offs a students can get admit in this college. The cut off ranges between 192 to 197 on an average in this institution, except for few courses which require only 180 to 189 cut-offs.
2. Management Quota: In this way, a student can enroll in the institution through financial aids, provided he/she satisfies the minimum required cut-offs set by the college in that year.
3. NRI Quota: Separate admissions and preferences are also given to Non-Residential Students in this college, which can be enquired at the college admission desk.

Since you are a diploma holder, you can apply for the engineering colleges as a lateral entry student, so that you can get direct admission from 2nd year. you have a very good percentage in your diploma.
